True or False? Has Polaris updated the engine for 2013?

It true. The xp handles like dung! I know because I own one. The Rev chassis handled better. And weight does matter. Nice comment about return on your investment ....comparing 50 lbs vs 10 horsepower. My xp is modified with an narrow ski stance and a whole list of tweaks and adjustments to improve handling. Now it handles pretty well (and better than the 2012 xp). Few people will argue that the Polaris doesn't handle well. From my experience the Polaris also climbs well even with fewer ponies!

So....the way I see it (a die hard ski-Doo fan) is like this.....the Polaris handles great, climbs well, is FIFTY POUNDS LIGHER, costs less money and is made in my backyard. I bought a Polaris for the first time this year and hopefully somebody at Ski-Doo reads this post.

Did you get the part about FIFTY POUNDS?!!!!! Sorry Canada. Suck on that!:baby::baby::baby:

pv my comment was that the Poo guys took offense at POSITIVE FEEDBACK ABOUT THE DOO. No one likes negative feedback but I will be on the Ski Doo forums saying how much I like my XP because of this or that and in comes 3-4 posts about how great a Pro is and that the XP sucks. I don't see any Doo guys come over here and jump into a positive Pro thread and bag on it. The XM is going to wow some people this year, on both sides of the border.

i've seen it happen on both sides. i would agree with you that it seems to happen with the poo guys a little more often. i agree it is completely unnecessary and a total waste of energy.

then quit responding to him. we all know where he stand, what he thinks, and what he is going to say. and more importantly we (the vast majority of people anyway) know he is nothing more than a troll. if everyone would quit responding then he would pretty much go away. he only post for the reaction. but, unfortunately, since some still find the need to acknowledge his existence then the rest of us will have to continue deal with it. (and now my post doesn't help either...)

(sorry oregon, don't mean to pick on you specifically)

I agree, he is a waste of time. I was not responding to him directly but was pointing out that there are Doo guys over here stirring the pot. I'm embarrassed at the fact that he lives in my town!

So you are saying "In Canada you get more for your money?" (50 lbs. more)

yes he is. he is pretty much a complete f*ckin d-bag. not funny, ignorant, and petty. doesn't get a whole lot worse than that. although that probably speaks to his age more to anything else. case in point, he gave me bad rep for my previous post. not that i really give two sh!ts about my rep but it says a lot about him. and again, this post will do nothing but encourage him so this will be my last comment on the issue or reference to him for a long while.

oregon, i understood that and why i specifically tried to say i wasn't trying to pick on you or call you out. and you can't help where someone else lives..., don't sweat it.

Snowmobile Advances

As a previous Doo rider, now with Poo for a long time, I am happy to see Doo bringing in a new competitive sled. It is competition that pushes all of the manufacturers forward. If it werent for that we still be riding TNT's and TX's...

although never a doo rider, i agree completely. the xm is really nice and going to surprise/impress a lot of people, imo. and i would not be surprised in the slightest that in 2014 the gap in sales between doo and poo is smaller (i don't know what it actually is/was). pushing the envelope is always a good thing. i can clearly remember in 2000 while in college and riding a geeked 96 ultra (complete pos and useless in the mountains but very fast) my little bro bought a 2000 136 summit 700. i road that thing for 10 minutes and was shocked with how good it was. it flatted ripped and KILLED my ultra. (although no surprise there...) if i hadn't been in college i would have went out and bought one for sure. unfortunately for my bro, it blew up about 5 minutes after i got off it.
