So how are guys aligning clutches if they have their secondary machined/lightenedIt’s possible. Has the secondary been machined to lighten it? The bar will give you a false reading if machined.
Just did mine, was out 141 thou. Had to hit the dealership for some spacers for the lock bolt/spacer to set float, was under 20 thou.
Hopefully she runs like a champ! Installed the full TRS clutch kit as well, see how she runs this weekend, I hope.
Bumping this up for the new season, and also to ask if this will work on the trail sleds?
Just picked up an 850 switchback assault and want to check the alignment on it.
This applicable for the 800? Assuming this for the 850. Thanks for the feedback. You can only bring the front of the secondary out to the bar. The gap at the back is the lead in Polaris has engineered into the sled.
This can be adjusted into spec. I set mine at .020-.030”. To accomplish that you will need to machine your rear mounts.
I will be coming out with a replacement parts kit to get it adjusted.

Well I spent a few hours on it. Thought it had perfect, until I realized I hadn't taken my pry bar out from behind the mag side of engine. As soon as I did, the stinking thing popped right back into position where it's been since day one.You might be able to get that pretty close.
You can manipulate the front mag holes with a dermal tool as well.
