Troubleshooting

I am having a problem that I need to trouble shoot that I have posted here http://www.snowest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=108719. The problem for me will be replicating the problem. As long as you don't over rev is there any issue with removing the belt to run the engine? Has anyone ever hung the back of their snowmobile from the rafters in the garage to spin the track. I am worried I won't be able to replicate the bogging problem I was having because it didn't start until after about 45 min of riding, then it was present for the remainder of the day. We had to drive 2 hours to get to snow and I don't have that kind of time to tinker.

Dont run it without the belt! once you rev it up, it wont come back down with out the drag of the belt on the motor. I hang my from the beam in my garage all the time. I responded to you other post with some ideas. After it starts to run bad, if you shut it off and then start it again does it run ok for about 2 minutes? I had trouble like this with my 900 efi. Would be happy to trade notes.
