I don't know where your friends rode, but we had nothing but SNOW, and tons of it! The parking lot at Featherville was covered, and the trail up had plenty of snow on it. We rode in at least 2.5 feet of pow all day! Haven't had a ride that good in a looooong time! The sun was out all day, and no wind at all. A perfect bluebird day!!!! Oh yah, and some a**holes rode under the Snotel indicator again!
Wish I would have been able to join you. I am brand new to Boise and need to meet up with some of you guys who are willing to take a tag along like myself. So glad to hear you had snow....I have been getting very impatient waiting for snow

If you stayed in the trees it wasn't horrible but they really need some snow, lots of exposure still. Up top there is more snow than I thought there would be but they need a good 2 footer to make it really enjoyable and not so nerve racking to ride.
Hopefully next week can provide a little moisture to the area.
