TRAILER QUESTION: Which do you prefer and WHY? Trailswest or Logan Coach???

What trailer do you have exactly
A 12x12 sport hauler with 14’ enclosed garage. Not ideal for sleds. If I bought new it wouldn’t be what I would go with but it was a couple years old and pretty sure it never got used. Still smelled new. So got what I thought was a good deal. The huge bathroom is useless to me for sledding and still unsure if the slide is worth the weight and complexity cost. But for reference it pulls great and honestly surprised how stable it feels even in crappy weather and heavy wind. This is my first GN and will be the direction I go in future for any decent sized trailer. Thats more of my point. As a guy that had those concerns going to a trailer from a deck. Did I mention its HEAVY? Lol

I really just need to contact them directly at this point and see if we can't get some REAL VERIFIED numbers on these beasts.

Maybe borrow a couple trailers from manufacturing and just drive them over to the scales.?

I ended up buying a 31' Logan Gooseneck horsepower trailer, very well built! Long story short, I live in SD and had to have the trailer weighted on a local scale, trailer weighted in right at
9820 lbs total. Roughly 7000lbs on both rear axles. So yes they are heavy

Just had a great video conference with the folks at Logan Coach and it looks like they are going to build us a Project trailer for the 23/24 season.

Will be hoping over to Jackson for the Hill Climbs tomorrow and will meet with some of them in person and get a Hand-Shake to start the project.

THIS WILL BE FUN!

Whats it gonna be like to have a PREMIUM BUILT sled trailer?
Any chance Logan Coach will revisit this project? What trailer did you end up getting? I am in the same boat 2022 F150 just need to haul 2 or 3 sleds.

While I would certainly WELCOME a revisit to the program, I have not heard from them since.
Seems they made up their mind to stick with "Heavy Duty" and not venture down the lighter weight route for the time being.

I noticed they've started making a rear-ramp only bumper pull trailer called the Torque. It seems more geared for dirt toys but it would work good for 2-3 sleds, and if it's light enough it could be a good half ton towable option. Comes in 14, 16, 18, and 20-ft lengths with tandem 6k axles, so guessing it isn't light. Can't believe a trailer manufacturer doesn't have weight specs readily accessible on their website.65b2c67e39825febc79bbe7a_DSC05646.jpg
