The reese strait line is an amazing weight distribution/sway control hitch, I should of bought one years ago to go with my 37ft bumper pull travel trailer.

Strait-Line® Active Sway Control Weight Distribution Kit, 8,000 lbs. Capacity, Without Shank

PART NO 66073
This is the ultimate hitch in detail and design. No other hitch gives the driver the control this one does at a reasonable price. The Straight-Line Hitch consist of our patented Dual Cam High-Performance Sway Control and our High Performance Weight Distributing System in one easy-to-install package.

Looking at the power number again, I don’t understand how the HO v6 has less payload and towing over the hybrid, and the Hybrid is a heavier truck.

Excited to see this trailer build.

My understanding is the HO Eco goes in the Raptor only. It has a shorter wheelbase and different suspension which is not set up as a towing/hauling system like the conventional leaf spring setup in Christopher's.

"@ 6000 RPM"

What a joke! Like it's a DZ302 Camaro?

That's like when Chivy dropped the 350 for the 5.3 and said that it made as much or more power than the 350.
Well, maybe @ 5700 RPM it does, but what matters for a truck is how much trq it has at 2000 and how much HP it has at 3500.

.
You will get no argument from me.
The F150 doesn't compete with a F250/350 for real world towing.
But then I didn't buy the F150 for any real towing, I bought it for a ton of driving.
Now, 2 years later, I may find myself in need of a "TOWER" once again, and if so, then i will bite the bullet and return back to a trusty 250/350.
But for now, I will TRY to see just what we can do with the F150 in the meantime.

Dropped in on my local Ford Dealer on Saturday to look into a new 250 and was told there was ZERO CHANCE of delivery in 2023.
Best case for a new ordered truck was some time in 2024.

Correct
The HO was not being offered when I ordered my Truck.
Previously it was available in the LIMITED edition truck as well as the Raptor.
But not available in the "Powerboost" configuration.

Ahh that makes sense. Forgot about the raptor.

So why not take one from the lot or from their incoming inventory or have them find you one? I would imagine a F250 or F350 coming into the dealer would be optioned out very close to how you would order one anyway in the proper trim level. Color may be an issue if you are more picky on that. But there are XLT and Lariat Super Duty's sitting on lots here in the midwest.

Are you are worried about getting one of the trucks that were built and sat for a year waiting on parts id you take from dealer stock?

because they were more than 100% PRE SOLD
ALL of their allocation for 2023 is already bought.

Same problem as the Bronco I want to get for the wife.
UNOBTANIUM.

I'm waiting on a replacement F150 for my work truck. Ordered in December, supposed to build in January, then bumped to February, then come March the order was purged as Ford said we didn't have allocation (Fortune 200 company here...). Word on the process now is we have vendors looking for a similar replacement on lots across the country. Last rig came from San Diego to end up in the PNW. Good luck with a truck.

Exactly.
If I order today, it will be for a 2024 delivery.

I just peaked inside the window on a 2023 F250 Lariat at North Country Ford in MN today that was on the lot and not already sold. They did have someone coming in later today to look at it at the sales guy said. But he figured he could get another one in pretty quick if I wanted. Said easy to get white Lariats right now with the 6.7 in them. Other colors were harder. Only truck model he said he could not get easy was the Tremor in the Super Duty.

They have had my F150 for 4 weeks now working on a recall. LOL, I would not recommend buying from this dealer..........ever. But if you're in a hurry and willing to look there are trucks out there.

Boss at work just picked up a 2023 XLT F350 last week that was sitting on a dealer (company truck). But it is a fully loaded XLT that he just walked in and bought with no pre planning.

When we traveled to Tucson a month ago the dealers in the south seemed to be sitting on way more vehicles than the ones in the north for some reason. Father in law was looking at GMC and Ram half tons and we stopped a few dealers who's lots were full of trucks so he could look and see some in person. Seemed odd as our lots here are still pretty empty.

If it ever comes back from the dealer I can get you a killer deal on a Loaded F-150 Lariat Sport. Maybe you can combine the two Ecoboost's for more towing. :) Biggest pile I have ever owned which is too bad as when the truck runs right I really liked it. And yes, this is the blue one I had when I was out there last year. Oh well, back to other brands for this boy.

To be fair there ARE trucks out there.
LOADS of XL and XLTs.
And loads of dealers trying to get stupid prices for them.

A dealer in Oregon is adding $25000.00 over the sticker price on half ton GMC pickups.
Wonder if they think anyone will actually pay that price?
I saw SEVERAL example of that on new high end F250s last night.
20K+ OVER MSRP on the most fully loaded examples I could find.

I have not seen the over MSRP prices here on new trucks. At least on the GMC or Ram stuff. Actually seeing rebates here on some of the 2022's even.

Ford dealer said they were right at MSRP on the Lariats. XLTS and XL were under by just a little he said. Seems on the high end HD trucks everyone is right at the window sticker MSRP as they know they can still move them. But already seeing the half tons under as they are starting to sit a bit.

Used market still way high it seems.

I was looking at
King Ranch
Platinum
Limited
Found none for less than +20K over MSRP
