I've always heard they don't like snowmobilers, so I thought that I would ask the question, interesting response. What do you think?

----------------------------------------------

I am very glad you came right out and asked the question! We welcome anyone in our place...we always have. The food and service are great or we would not have been in business for 20 years. The rumor that we don't like snomobilers is untrue. It started at least 12 years ago and has plagued us since then. It stemmed from incidents early on in my bar involving customers who could not respect our place or my employees...lude language around women (of which we have too few!), broken pool cues, fighting, etc...things I do not allow from anyone, not just snowmobilers. But BECAUSE they were snowmobilers, the rumer circulated that we did not like them. Over the years it persisted even though most never knew why. So thank you for asking and come have a cocktail, a good meal and tell your friends. You did not say when you would be in town. FYI this Saturday, Feb. 26, will not be business as usual. We run a benefit Poker Run in town that day so regular dining is suspended. Linda Taylor

I heard you don’t like snowmobilers, true or false? Will have a large group staying in town and want to know whether we can expect good service at your establishment.

Thanks

Very interesting newmy. We'll be there this weekend maybe we will stop in and say hi.:spider:

Unlike others I don't pick on DP on the public forum but that is DAMN funny right there:)

They wouldn't say "don't spend your money here". Of course they will take your money with a smile.

IMHO there are other buisness in that small community that truley are what they say they are, and enjoy "us" as customers.

I've heard stories of guys not getting any service in that place. Wyo's post is enough for me to continue to stay out of that place.

We ate there a couple of weeks ago and service was great. Food wasn't too shabby either. I'm absolutely positive they knew we were sledders, as we didn't try to hide the fact. There were a few hippies from L.A. in there filming some snowboarding vids. They didn't say much to us, but we proceeded to get them unstuck when the one doofus slid off the trail (they were using sleds to get around).

we went there to have some breakfast. it was a hell good breakfast. good service, seem to be nice with smile face to us. that was two years ago.

Would be nice to have a decent parking area, but:

For those of you that didn't follow WyoRMK's link, here's the quote from BCA's facebook page:

I stayed in Centennial about two weeks ago and ate at the Trading Post one of the nights. The area you walk into is the bar area, and it was lighted like an opium den. There is an area that is much better lit, and seeing no wait to be seated sign we wandered over there and started to sit down. We were told that area was reserved and were led back to the opium den. The opium den also had some local band playing in it, and unless you like folk music, it wasn't very good. The service was slow, and not very friendly. The food was good though.

In conclusion, there is a better lit place to eat across the street with much friendlier, if slightly more ditzy, service (Old Corral). We ate there two other nights and liked it.

If you want an opium den filled with yippies that doesn't really want you there, I do believe the Trading Post is for you.

I went in there once not knowing what was up. They are NOT snowmobile friendly. In fact, they are the exact opposite. They are fine with you spending your money there at times, but they actively support closing riding areas. I choose to not support that type of business.
