I was thinking about trying a 16 wide track, what is working the best out there for turbo applications?? is a 2.5" lug the answer or is there a 2.25" lug that works well? any downside to the 16?

We really like the Camo Extreme 16" wide, 2.5" tall and at least 162" long, it is a great track that works very well in all aplications including Spring sledding.

Just ordered the 174" for my Apex, we are porting it to help with weight, flexibility and snow evacuation from the skid.

Yup, the camo extreme is an awesome track. The only one that sounds like it might be as good is the new Cat Powerclaw track.

That Cat track won't even be in the same league as the Camo Extreme as the cat track is a cross between a Maverick and a camo!!!!! It's stuck some where in the middle, not sure if it's a maverick or a camo.

Ya it'll be interesting to see how that powerclaw holds up under boost! I was deciding between the 2 tracks for my Tapex, ended up going with the proven Camo Extreme:beer;

I think a lot of people will be surprised with the PowerClaw...I rode it last year in the hills, and we lined up 2.5" tracks and CE 2.25" and powerclaw, and well, powerclaw out pulled all of them...and we had 3-4 feet of powder...

the CE 2.5" trenches more than some others, where as the principle of the attack 20 (which is incredible in bottomless pow) and the PowerClaw is to pack some of it with a softer leading edge, and yet have the fingers to grab the spring snow...

I just finished puttig it on my Nytro...will be fun to see!!!

Soft tracks like that are fine on stock power , and really work the snow well.

How well the few fingers stand up to 300 HP tearing up stuff in the spring would be my Question.

I am looking to go to a stiffer paddle on my turbo sled as the soft paddles bend to much in set up stuff and spin to much when snow drag racing.

Nytro Track

How hard is it to put a 16" wide 2.5" CE on a nytro? I would think the wider track would be better, but is there enough clearance in regards to width with a stock tunnel with just an extension? Also are there any clearance issues with the longer lugs.
