Tracks usa ad

Admin hears you but has no say over advertising on the site.
My understanding is that Tracks USA is pretty happy with the response that new feature is generating in the way of sales. Apparently its a very effective advertising technique even though it is bothersome to some people.

I think this is a screen resolution issue myself.
Those with larger higher resolution screens don't seem to be having nearly as many problems as those with small laptop size screens.

I call bs

It's nice to know the paying members have to deal with this ridiculously annoying ad also.

I've bought many things from Tracks before but will go else where now. SPAM is not how treat customers or how to lure new ones. I will pass the world along to my sled buddies that Tracks is now SPAM and to go else where, actually already recommend somewhere else for rail extensions to night woot!:cheer2:

After reading through all the post that everybody has to say about the issue I am pretty sure its not Tracks USA personally that people are upset at or Sno West either but the way Sno West has put together the Tracks USA ad. As far as I’m concerned the ad can stay but who ever is in charge of building the ad (And you know who you are) needs to do some small programming to make it fold back when it is clicked on and not when the mouse runs over it. It can still stay but do some HTML programming to make it fold back when clicked on only. Problem Solved.

Snowest had a booth at the Denver snow show. I explained to them that I was unhappy about the advertising methods of this website and he distanced himself saying the mag and the forums are treated as separate entities.

Put it back on the right side of the screen if it has to stay

Advertising In A Negative Fashion

Yes Tracks USA is getting lots of advertising. Snowest and Harris Publishing can report thousands of hits, which will generate speculative sales.

The only thing is, its generating negative comments from Paid subscribers, which will create negative sales. If I have a angry customer in my business and they tell 10 friends, now what has just happened. You now have lost 11 potential customers. The same circumstances are here.

Whom ever is responsible for the advertisment setup needs to research maketing practices. This is just like Political ads on TV, after a while you tune them out. I am tuning out this Tracks USA Advertisment for any future purchases. Sorry.

Yep. Funny thing, I was browsing some classifieds (may have been here) and someone had some used rail extensions I was looking at. Soon as I saw they were TU extensions, I quit looking at them.

will that affect **** viewing....I mean for a friend of mine.

THIS WORKS FOR FIREFOX, I havn't tried it with anything else.

Anything that uses shockwave won't work any more. I found a better way, download AdBlocker Plus. Its free, and if you don't use a template you chose what ads get blocked.

So after you load the page with the blocker installed you right click on the ad and a window comes up asking if you want to add that ad to the blocked list, you say yes and it goes away and does not come back. Also all the other ads are still there,
