track durability

I have a 16" wide Camo extreme in my Nytro. It's rubbing the tunnel on each side due to the sideplay in my Expert-X.

Has anyone seen major damage occur from a track continually rubbing rivets? It's gonna get ugly but as long as it doesn't fall apart I want to run it. Don't want to have to get the 15" wide.
