track alinement at the driveshaft

Wondering if anyone has noticed if their track is way out of line at the front of the skid.

My track rubs on the front rail.

If anyone is looking at their sled, please check to see if its anything like mine. I know a friend of mine had his driveshaft changed out because it was out of tolerance after he noticed it.

Mine was similar. I did a "blueprinting" of the chassis this fall (every sled is out).

I added "glide rollers" (2 sets of small wheels on cross shafts in front of the shock shaft rollers) lol to the skid to help unloading and free up some friction.

So for me this area needed to be deadly. I narrowed up the back of the front arm pivot so I could shim it in the direction I wanted. Mine was not quite as far to the left as yours and only needed 40 thou of shimming offset to straighten out.

Fix

Chris bring that down this summer to my house, I am going to make a jig for the drivers to be pressed on together to hold distances between that centers them up left or right on the press. I have seen almost ever sled at lons with the same issue as well as mine.

I was able to get the drive shaft replaced under warranty.

The bearing was worn out at the end of the shaft, and the drive cogs moved over one way 1/4 of an inch.

The new shaft is better and centering the track but is far from perfect.

Check bushings in front arm. I have seen this issue on the 13, and it has been play in bushings in front arm.

I've owned many sleds over the years and have had this problem three times. The track and drivers were centered in the tunnel exactly right. On two of the sleds the top tube of the front suspension arm was not true center. I had to cut off some tube on one side and add the same thickness in spacers on the other side of the tube. Rails then were centered on track clips even from front to back. On the third sled the top tube was fine and the bottom tube between the rails was off. Did the same thing. Cut some off on the close side and shimmed that amount on the other side and all was good.

Move your right hand driver toward the clutch side about .25". Problem solved.
