it has been working most of the time hourly a few days ago. It still throws out the occasional -99.9 but it does work most of the time now. Reading the times, sometimes it works every hour, somtimes every 3 or 6 hours. Still not consistent, but better than nothing i guess.
When the batteries get low they shift the upload schedule to 6 hour, then 12 hour, then 24 hour. Looks like the snow-depth started working here lately though. I've emailed with the snotel admin guy and there is only so much they can do. They changed the bats in Nov to get it working again, but he said the new bats aren't charging properly either, hence the reduced schedule. There is a battery status indicator in the "all sensors" tab, but it reads -99.99...
Look at Rabbit Ears and add +/-15-20". Then you have your Buff readings. I just totally made that up but that's usually how it goes up there... 8-18" in the forecast for the Central/Northern Mtns today into tomorrow.
I just look at the Steamboat ski area snow report and consider that as a bare minimum for the Ears. Sunday am ski area reported 10" new & on buff pass on sunday there was more like 18" (great pics). Tuesday ski area had 9"' more, today they had 16" more & still snowing. Thats 3 feet in 4 days at steamboat!!
Good to hear that SLO is getting pounded! You need alot of coverage up there to be safe. Damn ranchers on their freaking fences! I wonder how Hog Park (WY) is doing?
