Total Lunar Eclipse Tonight

Eclipse starts at 10:41 pm Alaska time and lasts for 72 minutes. Alaska time is one hour after pacific. Tony

An early Christmas present for stargazers, the eclipse begins in Alaska at about 9:30 p.m., when the moon will begin to visibly slide into the shadow of the earth.
By about 10:40 p.m., Alaskans should see a total eclipse, with the full moon turning red or orange.

3:40 am was the time to watch here. I woke up at 3:42 am, thought for a second and remembered the eclipse, got out of bed and went to the toilet for 20 seconds and was right back under the electric blanket.
Glad somebody took some pics.

I didn't know about the eclipse. I got home about 10:30 and it was BRIGHT outside. Full moon, fresh snow and not a cloud in the sky.

Didn't need headlights to drive home AT ALL!!!!
