torque arm

Not only does it help to keep your clutches in alignment but more important, it helps to keep the motor from twisting. If you do a search on the 800 liberty motors you will see that the consensus is that the breakage of cranks is due to the case halves flexing. The torque arm helps to reduce the force put on the case and takes some stress away from the motor mounts. This hopeful is reflected in a longer crank life.

It helps saving the motor mounts. I always had problems with the pto side front motor mount snapping off on both my gen2 rmk and edge vertical escape.
After i added the wms torque arm, slp front push arm and a motor plate from Brad at power addiction this problem just went away completly.
Another thing i found out is that my clutches are overall running colder after the mods. I use a infrared thermometer for monitoring clutches when doing changes.
I did not change a single drive belt last season. Replaced it this season because i found some hairline cracks in it.
I have been thinking about making the motor bracket for the torque arm bigger, the wms torque arm only bolts on where the electric starter can be mounted.
There is some other holes further to the mag side of the block.
A bigger bracket would probably keep some more stress away from the crank.
