Top half airbox & powdervalves

Toying with the idea of getting powdervalves and installing on the top half of the airbox as I'm assuming most install on the top half...???

Anywho... Thought I'd look into getting a spare top half to install them on and thought I'd look online for a $ range. Can't seem to find anything other than the annoying "call us"

Anyone see a price range for this part? From what I found, it's Polaris # 5438731

Maybe I'm wrong in assuming install would be on the top half as well, but to me it seems most logical.

EDIT: After seeing the install instructions, I see they do go in the top half...

Works

I used the alternative to powder valves mounted in the top half. Got rid of the epic snow burble. I like having screen over the holes.

Does someone offer a similar product with a pre-filter? If not, i know the material can be bought from SLP.

Between the lines designs

Wps sells em. They have a fine mesh i figured it was good enough for underhood. Pre filter needs alot of surface area to flow enough air. My .02

want to save some money? just install a 2" flow rite where slp shows the powder valve install at..when not needed just slap a peice of duct tape over it..on the deep days..reach in and pull the tape....has worked fine for 2 seasons now....

Thought of trying this as well. Good to hear it works! Ill see what i come up with. All this will probably get put on my summer list. :)

I bought the SLP Powder Valves for my '12 Pro at the start of the season and haven't installed them yet. I've been in over the hood powder numerous times this season (with a P.A. head), and never had a bogging issue. Still don't think I need them.

Most days, no you don't. When you hit just the right, or wrong temps you will hate life. When the snow is at a cetain consistancy, it sticks like glue to the intakes and chokes out the motor faster than you can clean them off. I've had a few of those days now. And of course, it is always at the worst possible moment when the motor decides to choke out and drop off of the line you are trying to pull :face-icon-small-dis

I would say that you should be careful with installing them. I believe Polaris can void your warranty if the air box has ANY modifications done to it. Check first so you don't learn the hard way.
