Fastest

So, who seemed to have the fasted set up and what was it?

I don't think there was a fastest sled there because (thank goodness) there wasn't any big boosted apexs there!!!!

There was three good running 1200 Cat turbos there with all different systems and boost levels,K MOD, Twisted, OVS. We all won and lost some races, depending on the start, line on the hill, and balls to hold it down long enough to win and not catch to much air at the top.(Shane had the most balls and the most air)
The sleeper sled of the day was Captain Kirk Williamson with his hill climbing chassis with a efi 800 Polaris turbo, he won his share of races even with the 1200s.
There were plenty of sleds that looked like they run well, Simmons, Franklin's Nytro(just ask the 8'' tree at the top of the hill)and the propane M8.
A really pretty blue 1500 IQ of HPS looked good also.

All in all a bluebird day with good people and made some new friends.

Just my 2 cents I'm sure there's more to come.

I don't know about the most balls or air, but, I do know after I went through that tree, I left a rose bud in my shorts:face-icon-small-con. I agree, that there wasn't a fastest sled there. The 3 1200's, cap's 8 and my nytro were a toss up. It was good to meet you kevin and we'll have to hook up again. We'll probably make it up there 2 or 3 times more, before the snow is gone.

There were alot of great sled's at the tony's gathering this weekend. There were 3 1200 turbo's OVS, Kevin at K-Mod and Doug Gearman from California to bad that Kevin's 1200 broke the limiter straps and Doug's driven clutch broke it would have been a hell of a race to see who was the fastest sled there. They were the 3 fastest sled's there. The Nytro that Shane from Logan had would have been fourth and Kirk's 800 and Stanger's 1200 would have been a tie for fifth and sixth.

Well, we see what we want to see, I guess. I don't see how the 1200's were the clear winner, when we all raced each other and won some and lost some. This is the most fair opinion that I as well as many others have.

Hmmm just got back from the drive back to Cali, normally I dont chime in but I would have to say that travis had the game this weekend, his seld was off the hook, Kevin was rippin it up till his strap broke and so on down the line like travis said. jeff was with me and took a bunch of vid. Ill have him post some up so everyone can see for themselves.
Hand a chance to ride the KMod suspensions and was very impressed, Ill be having one on order shortly.
Next year Ill toss out an invite to who ever wants to drive to cali we will do a Sonora shootout, maybe a sign up board with best of 3 so the bull**** stops when the throttle drops! maybe 2 weekends after fairview? If your wondering there are just a couple hills bigger then Tonys that will really let you run them out.
Doug
