Some Snow at Togwotee...
At Togwotee Mountain Lodge we have approximately 10-12 inches of standing powder. It’s not enough to ride at the lodge, and I have not ventured the drive to the top of the pass yet. I’ll drive to the top on Monday and look around with the lightweight short-range explorer snowmobile my vintage Elan. I’ll let you know what I find out…

TO HEAVY SNOW TO YELLOWSTONE PARK...THE TETON AND GROS VENTRE
RANGES AND THE ABSAROKA MOUNTAINS TODAY THROUGH LATE THURSDAY MORNING.
SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF 6 TO 14 INCHES ARE EXPECTED. VERY STRONG WINDS
WEDNESDAY THROUGH LATE THURSDAY MORNING WITH GUSTS OF 55 TO 70 MPH WILL
CREATE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW AS WELL AS REDUCED VISIBILITIES
TO NEAR ZERO AT TIMES. PERSONS TRAVELING THROUGH THESE AREAS OR IN
AN OUTDOOR ENVIRONMENT WILL EXPERIENCE DANGEROUS WINTER

Many have asked if we will open early for cabin rentals. If the snow keeps up and we finish putting the place back together we may open cabin rentals for the early season riders. Our rentals will not be availavle until 12/01/08!

Web cams a little weird on my end today. So how is the conditions? Can you ride or does it still need some more snow out there?
Rode at the divide on thursday. about 2.5 feet in the trees and a bit less in the open meadows. as soon as you start heading off the top the snow starts to thin out fairly quickly. we had a good ride for this early. thirty miles on the trip meter and no broken parts!

Me and a couple guys went up there last weekend. A little dissapointed on how much snow they had. You had to be real careful out in the open. There was some snow in the tree's so we spent most of our time there. All in all it was a good ride so early in the year though. Pray for more snow!!
