I will be going to togwotee march6-14. I will be staying at togwotee mountain lodge. I know togwotee is known for not having avalanches.

But is there a place that rents avalanche equipment like beacon, probe, shovel, and backpack?
if so do they have a website?
How much is it to rent for a week?

They have beacons to rent at Togwotee Mountain lodge. Last year they had backpacks with probes, beacons etc to rent but I don't know if they have them this year. Call and ask

Avy Equipment in Tog

Togwotee rents beacons for $10/day this year. We were there last week and a couple guys in our group had to rent. Don't know where you heard that Tog is not known for avalanches. Are there worse areas, absolutely. Are there better, yes. But I have seen plenty of slides out there over the years, and the avalanche hazard out there this year will be considerable, at least as the snow continues over the next month or so.
