Togwotee Mountain Lodge over Christmas???

Reading in a lot of threads that there are many on here that will be at TML between X mas and New Years ....Just wondering how Many ???
We will leave here Late afternoon around 5ish on the 25th Planing on driving to Mitchell South Dakota that night (Can you say Congo Club ) Then on the 26th we will go to TML ..We have a Cabin from the 26th to the 1st ...We are taking I 90 to Gilette from there down to Casper and then into the Togwotee Area

There will be 4 of us coming from MN. Staying in dubois since the lodge was full. 27th to the 1st. How is the drive to the lodge from dubois this will be my first trip to togwotee..

Pry take you about 20 Minutes to drive up to the lodge......There is a Big Parking lot just past TML where you can unload ....

Try Lava Mountain for Lodging its great Riding outta there ..Only maybe a 10 minute ride to Brooks lake ....

I have stayed in Dubois several times and never drove all the way to the top to unload. Several lots on the way up that have access to great areas without having to ride as far as from the lodge.

to the OP, sounds like there is going to me a metric **** ton of people there that week, lodge is full, vacation for everyone.. go deep and find a stash

20 minutes from Dubois to TML is I think 40 miles about but last time I was there was 2 years ago so I might be off..

Might have moved 20 miles closer since last you were there...LOL
You are right though .....Lava is like 20 Miles up and then TML might be 12 to 17 miles further up then Lave ....So yeah in that 35 to 40 miles

3 of us from Cedar Rapids, Ia., staying thru to the 1st.
apprx. 40miles from Dubois to TML = 50+ minutes in good conditions. I used to take longer, now they've redone alot of the roadway in the last few years.

theres a nice lot just up from lava mountain lodge.its right before the road that goes into brooks lake.you could easily unload there and hit trail towards brooks then head towards tml.lots of places between to play!!!!

Man am I glad were going the 20-25th. Miss a little of the crowd. Just bring Mom with you and teach her how to mountain ride. Then you can miss Christmas. That's what we did.
