Today's my Anniversary FML

We got to spend some real quality time with him today.Poor guy had us all mauling him with love and affection...life is hard

Having to be the one who ultimately decides when to bring your true friends life to an end proves to be the most difficult tasks we are called on to do.

Please receive peace in knowing that you made each day a "good day" for him.
I believe you will be with him again one day.

By the way, please get another dog. There are too many dogs out there that need good owners.

So sorry Dave. Nothing in my opinion compares with losing a dog, especially when you have to make that tough and best decision and then carry it out.

All dogs go to heaven.

Yes it was a very tough thing to do.The vet didn't really say anything about his condition other than he was old,very lumpy and that it vwas time.In the last part of the afternoon,early evening he couldn't walk any more,it was really depressing...

Dogs are an interesting animal...our family has had sled dogs and dogs for pets in remote areas...it seemed to us that our dogs themselves would sense their illness and strangely enough it was as if they felt that they would become burdens and accepted passing on...we had several great pets that would just disappear into the woods at their very close end..My Grandfather said that dogs that are great pets will go into the woods near the end to die if there living enviroment allows them..they are selfless to the end...not like those selfserving selfish cats...lol..

I think most everyone here knows what your going through... I know I do!!! If it doesnt make you tear up to go through stuff like this with your animals you shouldnt be alowed to own one!!!


It only gets better with time!!!
