to much ski lift problems

i dont normally climb up hills that are wideopen with no trees in sight iam more in the trees type of guy and when ur going 5mph around a tree and u gotta nail it and shoot up the hill some more and it wheelies so bad you cant controll it becaue it wheelies and becomes to tippy it becomes a problem you start darting off into trees and places you were not planning on going, so yes ski lift is a problem when you have to much of it on a wide open hill you have a lot of room to correct it on top of it i dont know why you would want other than a cool pic because you loose a ton of momentum

Ok you win. You guys have fun riding your submarines. I guess it just a matter of riding preference. I prefer to stay as far away from the trail as possible in the thick trees(mostly for avalanche reasons) trying to find new places to ride on a sled with no ski pressure. MY OWN PREFERENCE!! Everybody has their own. Good news it's finally snowing so I might actually get to ride!!:beer;:beer;

not that i dont want it to lift i dont want it to lift as much as it does 3ft is to much 4 me i want about 6inches

ALPHA-X...OR NOT

You can't enjoy that turbo power if you can't keep it under control. Just ask Geoff Phatty Dyer from Boondockers. (snow sky snow sky snow sky snow sky ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCK............ tow strap)

With rail extension on there is increased leverage on the rear shock. The best solution is moving the entire rear scissor assy back, I would guess 4 inches. The easier is put stiffer springs on and kick the lower scissor arm back in the rail. But by only moving the lower half in the rail back, you will lose travel.

I would consider making new tunnel mounts or move the stock ones back, then drill the rail for the lower portion of the assy in the same amount of distance as the upper.

i already moved the suspenision back an inch iam going to redrill my limiters and move my front track shock and try that before i get to carried about on hacking sh** up

I've got an air shock off my hill climber sled(came with it) It attaches to the lower part of the rear scissor and then to the rear cross shaft, you can increase air untell you like the transfer. I went to holz rear suspension so if you interested let me know.

I'll try and get a pic up so you can see what I'm talking about.
Maybe you should get some pics of your rear skid up so we can see if something isn't right.

Apparently somebody didn't like my opinion. My little green box turned red. I'll probably have to cry myself to sleep tonight:brokenheart: Oh well at least I still have :beer;

This is the best plan. At the very least stiffer springs will help a lot.

I run a 174 0n my 07 xrs witn no problems. Tighten up torsion springs, loosen up front
shock in rear suspension and front shocks. You should not need the limiters to be that
tight. Mine have some slack in them. I ride with several other 174's with no problems.
GOOD LUCK!!!
