TML sled rentals

Long story short, blew up my mod REV a week ago and don't think I'll have the cylinders back from replating in time to make the trip in the middle of Feb.

I found this

http://www.togwoteelodge.com/play/winter/snowmobiling/snowmobiles.aspx

But it doesn't give a price per day.

Anyone know the going rate on a Pro or an M8? Or if they have any XM's? Or if they give discounts to people renting cabins who've been repeat customers for a long time?

Thanks for any help.

TML sled rental

I believe I payed $280. for one day rental after taxes and all, my sled went down 15 miles in first day.

Go to crooked creek. They have XM's for like 210 a day. Plus you dont have to return them every night if renting more than one day.

you don't have to turn them in every night at Tog either. Just need to have it looked over quick, and they top it off with fluids. Price for an M8 or 800 pro is $225 per day base rate, no Doo's. You can add insurance for, i think, $45 per day. They only rent to people staying at the lodge. If you are going soon you had better book now, as my brother could only reserve a 600 pro for next week. We where told there where a lot of 800's down/broken right now.

We stayed at Lava last jan 2011 and had 2 of our sleds go down ...We drove to TML and rented from them no problem ...So unless they changed thier rules you do not have to stay there to rent ....We were just out there agin this past Jan we ended up renting one sled for one day the 800 Polaris was $225

Wow, $280 a day!? For four days that's well over a grand. I'd be better off buying an XM and selling it this spring!

Bummer, looks like I might have to cancel this year.

Thanks for the info guys.

you're correct... i just called to verify this. but, every time we've gone they required us to give them our "booking confirmation number" in order for my bro to rent a sled. i will be double checking this in 3 days upon our arrival.

sry for any confusion, and thanx for the correction BB.

for sure, renting isn't a cheap option. You could look into a 600 pro, they run $150 per day. Just food for thought...

My doo went down out there 2 yearts ago was 4 miles from tog, went up there rented a sled and away i went, I was staying up by cc. I think it cost around $210-230+ insurance was another $20-30, unles you know your not going to hit anything, ha ha. That does not cover if you blow it up. No it not cheap, but when your out there you don't have a choce.
The next day rented a sled from cc think it was cheaper, bottom line is
find somebodys sled you can rent or use to go out there with, it's half the cost.
You want to play you have to pay!!

Paying to fix my sled and paying for a rental doesn't sound like very much fun to me lol

So if its 225 a day and that includes gas oil at tog. If you ride like us thats 10 gal a day and 1/2 gallon of oil.
That works out to about 50-55$ a day in fuel and oil. That brings rental down to 175.00 a day. Ya its not cheap but its not bad either. If it breaks its up to them to fix if you hit something its up to you.
You show me where you can go buy a new sled ride it for a week and not loose $1000-1500 for sure.
My opionion if your riding out west for 3-4 days a year it makes no sense to buy and sell a sled. If you ride alot more well different story.

I live out here.

Not looking to get into an argument, but its just not going to happen. Anytime I've rented a sled the renter is in charge of filling the sled with fuel before returning it, so forget the fuel savings. Yes they pay for oil.

Still spending 800 to 900 dollars for four days on top of the cost of renting a cabin just isn't worth it.

I'll snow check an XM this year and plan for next year, unless a miracle happens and I can get parts for my sled back and together in two weeks.

That 800 to 900 saved will make a good down payment.

Just got back from another great trip to Tog... Bro and cuz rented sleds again this year, and they top off fuel and oil everyday free of charge!

Just got the word our trip is cancelled due to low snow pack, not sure I agree on the decision, but it takes the pressure off trying to get my sled together before this weekend, still no pistons and cylinders.

Call Big John @ Sledhead Racing. He should be able to set you up with your rebuild needs.

Headed to Tog Friday!!!!
