TM1 crank heavier?

The faster you spin the engine the forces on the crank increase exponentially. I am still running the stock 05 crank using the CPI pipe. Almost every original 05 crank with the SLP tune fails or has already failed. This is why the Warranty was voided when you did the SLP reflash. If you are going to run the 900 at higher RPM's it should be considered a must to have Indydan balance your clutch and install the third bearing to help carry the load on the PTO side.

.
I have seen the dynoport set up handily beat the slp in person though, but every tuner, set up, and set of conditions is different. A couple sled lengths wouldn't be worth it at the cost of a crankshaft,if that were true, I guess.. Heard that the stock exhaust works well with SLP's reflash, but don't have firsthand info.

Both the CPI and the Dyno-Port pipes were designed to increase low end and midrange power. The dyno-charts are similar for both, they make approximately 10 more HP than stock over the entire RPM range.

The SLP loses power over the entire RPM range over stock except at the very top. SLP ,makes more overall power but only on top and while sacrificing low end and midrange which is what the 900 is all about. The SLP Dyno charts are available on their website if you do not believe they make less power than stock over most of the RPM range go look for yourself.

I was thinking of sending Dan my crank and cases for his third bearing upgrade while the engine is out for the 06'piston upgrade. The clutches are in the ups truck, and should be back in my hands from Dan's re-balance, today! I have the full dynoport set up, But It also has the reflash from polaris done. Do you know if these work together? Heard that the pipe was designed for the original stock 05 (rich) setting. Sorry bout the hijack.. I'll have to start a new post..

Dyno-port will tell you no way. Not sure if anyone has ever dyno tested it to see though. I would have it flashed back to stock with that pipe personally.

I don't think Polaris will do a flashback, will they. This means I'll prolly have to get a boondocker or powercommander, right? I know it has been reflashed, according to the Polaris update sheet from the dealer with my vin#.. CRAP..:face-icon-small-dis

I'm pretty sure they can reflash it to stock.
