Tired of the plastic throttle block...

As another option we build a billet throttle block uses a cat lever and we also have a TSS switch delete plug that you eliminate the tss switch completely.
Our block will also pull other sleds, we have sold them for cats, and will pull up to a 54 mm pull. Also will except your stock kill switch like pictured.

Block and lever is 85.00
TSS delete is 20.00

So does this block give the option of keeping the TSS? If so, I think this might be my next block.. Like the feel of the Cat flipper a lot more than polaris, just seems less work to operate them.

RS It is not capable of the tss you have to eliminate it with our resistor that plugs in to take place.

Thanks Brad, Eric:

Sure, that spring is probably the biggest factor. Not sure I want to mess with it unless there is a quality option. Kinda like that my throttle closes when I let of :face-icon-small-win
Might have to hook up a small spring pulling the other way to offset the strength of the return spring.

The billet block is still desirable. Run with the TSS tucked away and key + tether now, maybe later.

If you replace your stock throttle with aftermarket suggest one that retains tss. Stuck throttle has happen to me not fun almost totaled sled in back yard can not imagine what fun it would on the side of a tree covered slope. I think a tether would be a first then a aftermarket throttle block (with tss) next.

x2; had mine freeze up and TSS saved my ***! I have a tether too but if you think you can react fast enough to pull the tether before your sled hits the trees, good luck! I would have had to bail and that wouldn't have been a good ending considering how fast I was going. No way, no how, do I even consider riding without TSS anymore!

Have FUN!

You guys that advocate bypassing the TSS are asking for trouble. A tether won't save you in very many situations with a stuck throttle. Just this weekend we had a sled with a stuck throttle in the parking lot, destroyed the sled and moved the SUV it hit about 8" sideways.

I have heard that Doos are done electronically somehow, but if that is the case, it didn't prevent the accident we had Saturday.

Doos have a carb heater inlet for the coolant to heat the slides and prevent freezing. Yamaha uses a solenoid (or they did) attachment to the carbs. Not sure what both use now but I'm certain they've taken precautions to prevent frozen throttles.

Have FUN!

Second broken throttle block in the last month. My father was riding my sled and barely hit the throttle block and it broke. These things are a joke..

RSI block, killswitch tied and taped to over structure. I tether 100%. 3 weeks ago I had an unmanned throttle incident at WOT. I've heard tell that not running a windshield is the culprit.

**** was no bueno.
