I'm extremely exhausted with the blind eyes many in our country have for our 2 party system. I'm mostly talking about the idea of conservative, moderates, liberals. This is starting to become complete BS to me. I am ready to start hearing and accepting that they are not just that. Liberals are not Democrats, Republicans are not conservatives. That is way too generalized for the average to fully understand. The liberals come in a variety of colors. Communists, Marxists, Neo marxists, socialists, etc. Its time that the term "liberal" is eliminated when associated with some of the democratic party members. They need to be recognized for who or what principles they stand for or believe in. I believe the democratic party has hid behind this generallity(sp) and have snuck up on a lot of cattle. The other side has done the same thing. It's time to call a spade a spade.

Good thread....I am a conservative, but I am mad as hell at the Republican party! They have become a bunch of p*ssies! They are not conservatives in general....we have very few in office that are. Time to bring back the Libertarian Party in full FORCE! ...smaller goverment, lower taxes, MORE FREEDOM!!!!!!!!

The problem we have in this country with the current system is you pretty much HAVE to belong to one or the other in order to get the funding and exposure you need to win.

I would very much like to see the system set up a little different.
Make it so you HAVE to adhere to the election laws and can't bypass them like OBAMA did.

If you can get X number of signatures, you get matching funds and matching exposure. That in and of itself will open it up quite a bit.
The other problem we have is this.
Neighter party is willing to force equality in the system. Why?
IF there are only 2 parties they are pretty sure at one point or another their party will be in charge.

yep, system sucks.

A pal and I were talking about this very issue the other day ... Civil War Part II ? Right vs. Left ? It will be about beliefs and conviction in those beliefs. Our country is beginning to "swirl" right now and I for one am disgusted by the direction it's going! Like MPS mentioned, I am pretty disgruntled by the Republican Party's lack of action right now ... they have completely "vaginized" in the face of BHO and his cronies!

The Republicans Love Ronald Reagon. The Dems hate him.
Ronald Reagon was a democrat.
The WHOLE thing (dem or republican) has shifted to the left a LOT.
There pretty much isn't any such thing as a conservative anymore.
You are either what they call "centrist" republican (fancy word for democrat) or you are a liberal, and the liberals are turning more and more towards socialism.

I don't really see a way out of it.
The press is hard core in the pocket of Obama, Palosi and Reid. They are socialist.
When the truth dies, so does a democracy.

I am waiting for the spark that ignites the fire and starts the new civil war.
It will be a war of idiological beliefes.

Problem here is that to be a true conservative that believes in the capitalist system, you have to be hardworking, willing to take chances to achieve higher goals, determined to better yourself or life, respect for the men and women that have sacrificed themselves for our freedom,and believe in the old fashioned morals that our country was based upon.

What we are facing is a portion of our population that is rude, lazy, self serving, and expects to recieve everything for nothing.

Becaused I donate to Sarah Palin, not the repubic party, http://sarahpac.com/ The Repubics called me to donate and help them fight Obama. I told them I will not donate to them untill they first learn what the constitution says and begin to follow it, till then they can stick it. Swampy

We could consider going old school and take a name from the past, from one of the roughest, non bs accepting presidents Teddy Roosevelt
