I am looking for a simple 12 volt dial type timer switch, or a 12 volt programmable t- stat for my enclosed trailer furnace.
Reason being, I think it would be great to be able to pull the sleds in the trailer at the end of the day, turn on the timer for 4-6 hours to melt them off and walk away. I have looked quite a bit via google and can only find 120 V AC timers or digital 12 VDC timers. I am looking for the kind that you would see on a battery charger or on a whirlpool tub that has hour intervals and also a "Hold" setting to keep it on.
Other option would be to use a programmable thermostat like I have in my house, but I'm not sure of they will operate on 12v DC. Anyone know?
I have the wall panels tore off right now for insulating and want to get this sorted out.
