Timbersled vs UFO

I think the much anticipated 129 with sx kit might be perfect. I think the lt actually transfers more naturally ( like a bike) than the st, definitely turns a little slower, but when pointed uphill in deep snow it is way better!

Need more info. What bike was the new ST kit on? What other bike and what other kit was this being ridden against? Sounds promising.

FYI this guy lives in my town and the R2 is for sale... If you look at the his last video he test rode a Timbersled.... So we will see if he ends up with a Timbersled;)

Other bikes in the group that day

2013 RMZ450 2015 sx
2013 ktm 500 2014 st
1990 CR500 2014 st
2010 CRF 450 2014 sx
2013 sx 450 2014 sx

2015 SX was the best in the steep and deep and on the trail! Not even close.
2015 sx is designed as a mountain kit for 2015

He clearly said it was a SX. It's on a RMZ450, has been compared to a KTM450sx with a 2014 ST and a 2014 SX on that bike, an RMZ with a 2014 SX and ST, CR 500 with a 2014 ST, CRF450 with ST and SX, KXF's with ST's, YZF's with ST's... He's ridden nearly every bike and kit combo out there to compare it too.

I haven't seen it first hand - but a rider of a CR500 with a 2014 ST kit told me he was having to poach tracks to keep up with the RMZ with the 2015 SX proto in deep powder!

2015 prototype Timbersled SX MH.
1. Powder track 6 pounds lighter than 2014
2. New Driver. Faster and lighter
3. Fox FLOAT 3 EVOL RC2 and fox float 3. also lighter
4. 12 pounds lighter all together!
5.New scag
6. Flex Motion
Result?
1. 70+ mph top speed! And will Pull all gears
2.Goes better in deep power than a MH ST kit. 36' of fresh power and had to break trail.
3.The track floats and spins faster.
4.Mind blowing handling on trail and in the trees
5.Blows through bumps in the trail, like its groomed.
6.Can't figure out why it does so amazing in deep deep powder

After what you just stated, if true, im selling my 2014 ST for a 2015 SX. That sounds to good to be true!!

The track is flat and is the same width as 2014 sx, the flex motion makes it handle better than the rounded track. And the track is 6 lbs lighter than the hawk track and doesn't dig

Is this a 121 track we are talking about? Sounds like I know what I will be buying for next year.

I can attest to the performance of the 2015 SX prototype powered by a completely stock 2013 RMZ 450 as I was the 2001 CR500 w/ 2014 ST kit riding with him that day. Snow conditions where perfect the powder was light and fluffy and a good 2' deep with pockets up to 3' deep with a setup base underneath. Not only did I spend the entire day trying to keep up with this SX kit but I also threw a leg over it and put some miles on the road and in the steep and deep. On the road I was completely blown away by how well it handled and fast it would go pulling 5th gear. I have never felt so in control on the road going 60mph I was literately screaming with joy as I railed the first corner 4th gear tapped, as I came into the next corner I didn't even down shift or let of the gas and took it 5th gear tapped. I don't know how it's even possible for that kit to hold a corner going that fast and not even try to skip or break loose but it was amazing. Later on in the day I hopped on it to see how it handled and went in the deep pow because I was having a hard time understanding why in the hell I was having to poach his track to keep up through the trees. A quick five minute blast through the trees completely sold me on buying an SX kit for next season, it floated through that deep powder better than my ST while pulling more track speed and handled was awesome.

Bottom line the 2015 SX kit is going to be very capable in the mountains and I really wish I had not rode it because now I need a new kit this coming fall and am not quite sure how to explain that to the wife.

What do you mean by the (flex motion) that makes it handle better?
