Ok,
going to be putting in a timbersled 162 with iceage rails and have avid extros in the sled. How much do I need to trim off the rails to make sure they don't hit. I am hoping to still be able to put the caps back on, or should i suck it up and put on the anti-stab?

On a side note, why cant iceage just make them the correct length in the first place, as I would bet most of their rails go into sleds with extros anyway. Maybe I am wrong..

thanks

kirk

This is on my Nytro by the way.

After spending all that money, why wouldn't you spend the extra $100 for the anti-stab?? Cheap insurance IMO.

Rails

I have a TS 162 skid with Ice Age rails and Avid Drivers in my Nytro. Clearance is not an issue at all on mine even with the rail caps. As mentioned the antistab is cheap insurance especailly with the high track speeds it will see from the turbo power.

I have Ice Age/Timbersled/Avids no problems hitting. I also have an anti stab kit installed with the bumpers still on. Send me your email if you would like pictures.

I have the 174 Kit, and avids...they are far from hitting...no trimming for me, other than for the antistab...which is WAY wortht he effort...

some do not include them...the stab kit directions on most of the brands dont show the end caps...I made them work, just for a finished appearance...not that I lot of people look under my sled at the drivers but skid was out, was easy to make work...

Here is pic of mine...
