Timbersled.com is now live with the 2016 Product info

Glad to see you are listening to us and addressing some of the nuisance issues we've had. Question, with the TSS how is the main chain tensioned?

Look like some very solid upgrades.
For clarification, the SX comes with the upgraded track shocks? You say in the ST and LT what shocks they have.

Not sure if I want to get the SX or ST, leaning towards the SX so far.

Yes, the SX utilizes Fox Floats in the skid, the ST and LT utilize the Fox Zero Pro re-calibrated for the new suspension. The SX no longer has the horizontal third shock. It utilizes the new TSS third shock system. 10" or 12" track width SX versus ST / LT

Yeah that was what I was thinking was the main difference. Does the sx still get up closer to the front of the bike though? Travel difference if both ST and SX have the TSS?

No clue if 10" or 12" would be better for me.

Great to see the upgrades for 2016!!!

One question, can you confirm if the TSS can be used on the 70 degree husaberg's, with the 'odd' subframe?

I'm curious if it can be used on the '10-'13 yz450f with the tornado pipe, considering it messes up traditional bikes air box I'm going to assume it won't work without modification.

Great upgrades!

I would love to see a complete list of all the different tracks used over the years and their weights! And then show the wieght of all the new tracks.

One other thing that jumps out at me as a possible concern is now the fit kit is acting as a moving bushing with the TSS, on older kits IMO the 6061 won't last in there it will need a real replacement bushing in lieu of the aluminum, maybe it comes with that.

Looks awesome! Great list of improvements. TSS should be great. The TSS works with PDS? And does the SX have a narrow version of the new track? So only difference between sx and st is track width, chaincase cover materials, and shock package?

Yes, It comes with sealed, pivoting bushings.

I'm also curious to know how the new TSS affects chain tension. A lot of us are running very tight chains (as recommended by TS), so any additional tension might be a bad thing.

All excellent questions. We're in the truck driving back from 2 days of testing in Revelstoke where the 16 kit and TSS blew us away... again.
I'll get more detailed when I'm back at my desk, but here's a few answers.
TSS is not anticipated to work on the 70 degree Berg's.
We will verify, but right now we anticipate TSS working on all year YZF's.

TSS comes with special bushing frame inserts, then uses heat treated gold zinc plated sealed steel subframe reducers. That was a mouthful.

All 2016 kits use the same size fit kit reducers as our previous year ST/LT kits.

Chain tension is easy. Set the chain tight at full extension and ride. Is loosens slightly under compression.

TSS works awesome on PDS (offset rear shock) KTM and Berg's.

SX kits use a 10.5 inch wide Convex 2.5 track and custom tuned Fox Float 3 Kashima rear shocks. The entire SX chassis is 2" narrower than the ST/LT kits.

LT/ST kits use the 12.5" wide Convex 2.5 track and costom valved Fox Zero Pro coilover shocks.

Keep the questions coming!

If the TSS mounts in roughly the same location on the track as where the swingarm mount is, perhaps this will work?

The shock doesn't look any bigger than the removed PDS unit.

with any luck someone will confirm (send me one, i'll gladly test fit it)!

The problem with the 70* bergs is the plastic subframe. The tubular subframe on the mountain horse kit will hit the bikes plastic subframe if it pivots up at all.

Brett, what I was asking is what is the difference between the older SX subframe reducers and the new 2016 subframe reducers used with the TSS kit?

SX vs. ST

Brett,

Can you explain the geometry differences between the SX and the ST.

Are the driver locations different? If so, how?
Is the approach angle the same between the two?
Is the travel in the skid the same?
How does the SX get away with not having the kick-up in the tunnel that the ST has?
Weight Difference?

I'm still undecided on which to get, the answers to these questions will help!

These are the exact things I would like to know as well, in the same situation. Need to make a decision soon.
