from what i've read from mags and people that have used them, the timber sled is definetly light, but weak, zbroz heavier but stong. don't take my work for it, cause i haven't tried either personally but that's what most reviews on either brand say.

stronger than stock? I guess if barkbuster is stronger than stock but weaker than zbros that could be a good thing.I'm so confused....lots of obstacles where i ride and don't want to keep replacing a-arms.

the people i know that put them on cat's said the timbersled is weaker than stock, but that's useless since it's a review on a cat.

basically if i were you and had to run through obstacles all the time i'd buy zbroz hands down for the strength and chalk the extra weight up to more riding time and not buying a-arms. just my .02 cause i run the stock ones and haven't bent an arm in years but i would be replacing them with zbroz

I don't think the Zbros has a swaybar mount? The stock WE are valved to soft to ride with out the swaybar IMO. Timber sled is what I'd probably go with?

The timbersled lower A arm is straight, that should be a good thing since it is higher and away from obstacles that others may hook onto. Their spindle must be a different height to get the same geometry. Mike

straight might be stronger, zbroz have high clearance on them, not sure if that's a weak point, also you can have a stablizer on the zbroz with the adapters that clamp around the arm.

The zbroz have a sway bar mount. They mount up just like the stock A arms. I installed mine last week.

I have actually installed the Timbersled Barkbuster on 2 of my own sleds and again on my new build.

I can say from actual hands on experience, on my own personal sleds, that these arms are very strong and live up to their name.

I rode the 38" wide last season on my Dragon... It was a bit too narrow for the wide & rounded bodywork of the Dragon...
AND would be STELLAR on the narrow bodywork of the PRO if you are more of a boondocker than a steep climber/jumper.

I think that the Z-Broz are of equal quality to the Timbersled and have nothing but good things to say about their products. I had them on my 900 3 seasons ago and was very happy with them.

I spoke with Nate on Friday... they are 2-3 weeks out new orders and are filling current orders in the order received.

i'll second this, timbersled makes a great product ! The barkbuster will take a very hard hit. Both companies a-arms are very good.
It would be nice for timbersled to also offer a a-arm that would use the stock spindle.
And I for one don't want them any stronger,I want the suspention to fold up before damageing the cast bulkhead. A-arms are cheap and easy to replace

Did you install on pro because timbersled says not availiable, i spoke to them this morning, can't give me any shipping info, this sucks.Zbroz b/o no delivery date.polaris back ordered, this seems like a major screw up on poo's part.I jumped ship from skidoo for being weak, not so happy with poo, but man is it fun.

I have had multiple Skidoo's with Holz suspenion (front and rear), a turbo dragon with Timbersled (front and rear) last year, and a new Pro, that I just put ZBroz arms and shocks on last week. IMO they are all very good companies that produce great products. The Holz are maybe a little weaker than the others, but they are also lighter I believe (may be incorrect since I am going off of when I had them on skidoos). I had 0 problems with the Timbersled as far as bending. I went with Zbros this year, due to the fact that I know they make a good product from experience, I matched them up with a set of their shocks that they build to spec, and although they are 1lb heavier than stock, I was willing to sac the weight, for strength and clearance. Also, the arms DO come with sway bar mounts built in, if you choose to run it. (I had them build my shocks to allow me to get rid of the sway bar)

Thanks all, just put in order with zbroz, now I wait.B/O two weeks

I just can't post this enough, whether you ride a Bark Buster, Holz, Z-Bros or OEM arms, a set of A-Arm Skid Plates will in most cases allow you to skid over the stump and or rock. I know some of these bends are from frontal impact, but just as many are from "hooking" the rear branch of the lower A-arm on said obstacle, the end result looks similar to a frontal impact, minus the obvious dent on the forward branch, but it still folds the same way. Polaris OEM are weak, but a Piece of 1/4" UHMW is strong cheap and easily removable, I attach mine with SS Hose clamps and remove them come spring time when everything is set up.

I went through five A-ARMS on two IQ's and none since adding these, to the IQ's and now to the PRO's.

My .02

Was just riding along today and all of a sudden my steering is all squirly. Said what the heck and found this. As you can see where it broke, 75% around it is right where the weld was. To me this shows weak welds. And yup this is off your old Apex 2XM3 haha. Not blaming you at all, manufacture defect for sure. As you can see the weld had been cracked for awhile, because it's already rusty, and it finally went on me. Glad I chose to ride it today instead of my other one. Would rather have it break on me close to home then in a few weeks when I'm out in Island Park. You can bet I will be on the phone with Timbersled Monday morning.

I'd like to give Dave and all the guys at Timbersled a big thanks for their great customer service and help. The weld broke on my A-arm Sat morning, and had a BRAND NEW one in my hand by Fri morning for NO CHARGE!! THANKS GUYS!! I'll definitely do business with them again.

I can tell you from personal experience with the Zbroz arms that if you are hard on stuff they are the strongest arms I have used to date, and the little bit of extra weight certainly validates having them. Though I have no experience with the Timbersled stuff, one of the guys we ride with almost everyday has the front end on his XP. He hasn't had any problems with bending the arms, but the spindle mount onto the ski is so narrow that he bends the bolts all the time and has a crazy time getting them out. He does have C&A skis though which are kind of hard on that area and the rubber bump stop is probably a little worn, but he is always complaining about it.
