Timbersled 10" ski coming soon

While the new ski will most certainly be an improvement, don't get too down in the dumps guys. I rode all last year on the stock ski and I had a perma-grin. When TS has the new ski available I plan to use it on the powder days and save my old ski for the spring and late season gravel.

I have rode for 3 years on the narrow ski and have had a blast every ride. The wide ski is a bonus but the narrow ski is not the end of the world.

This new ski has been hyped so much that I think most were just excited to get something better (myself included).

We were told that it would be available to everyone before the snow fell this year. Now that we have snow, and still no ski, and no ski to come for months it's a little disappointing.

At this point I'll likely just stick with the 6" ski, and hope that we can buy directly from simmons next year at a more reasonable cost.

Aren't you Allen's brother? Or am I thinking of someone else?

Tried to register, no confirmation. When I click "submit" the telephone box highlights in red, with a red prompt "please enter a phone number", it won't accept any phone number I have tried.

Tried to register today, but when I hit "submit", the telephone number box highlights in red, with a red prompt "please enter a phone number". Every number I've tried has been rejected. Finally tonight I tried erasing phone number box leaving it blank, and clicking submit, and all boxes went blank. Maybe my registration finally went through? Edit: Happy, just got confirmation email!

This new ski will make a huge improvement!

Timbersled team and Simmons,
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
This new ski should be the Hot Ticket on my 525XC MH.

I have be running the Gen II 2 moto-ski for 2 years on a XR650R.
You guys that are running the the 6" ski are in for a big surprise of how much more capability your MH will have with a 10" ski.

Got to run and figure out on how to modify my Ski Dollie to work with the new T/S Ski.

Thanx again.

Descend under slight power or lean back... over-handlebar problem solved. Also, don't descend STRAIGHT down a steep hill, take it at and angle and make a few turns.

Saying the 6" ski is the "end of the world" is being pretty over-dramatic in my opinion, but to each his own.

A lot of snowhawk guys have just bolted on a snowboard shaped piece of plastic on the outside of the ski to give it more width. If you aren't getting the new timbersled ski, this is another option to get some more float. Just throwing it out there.

Im up in Nelson BC right now in 6 feet of pow with the timbersled and I hope the bigger ski makes a significant difference. I was riding downhill the whole day and taking cat tracks up. The snow was literally over the handle bars and could barely lean it over without going underneath. I hope this new ski just makes it float much better so I can start making some bigger carving turns rather than submarine all the time.
