Throttle body boot life

Just curious how many miles guys get out of there throttle body boots before they rip under boost. I will be running 8lbs with a BOV,its not something I want to change out in the backcountry so maybe after so many miles I will just change them for preventive maintence? Cant wait till they have billet boots perfected for these!

I had 2400 miles on my sled before it was turbo'd. My boots lasted about 100 miles after boost running 8-10 lbs. I really wish I would've put new ones on with the turbo. I am hoping to get a season out of a set which is about 1000 miles for me and then just change them out every fall. From now on I will have an extra set in my toolbox. Nobody seems to stock these things so it's a couple days of down time if you blow them. Twisted Turbos has some billet ones available and Silber is working on having some made. If I can get a season out of the stockers I will just continue to use them but if it becomes a continuous headache I will get the billet ones. Stock is around $45 and the billet ones around $300 from Twisted.

His Pro RMK kit is going to come with them,I dont think he has any available for the IQs yet.

Correct, I think he is waiting to get the tuning and kits built for the Pro's and then worry about the IQ boots. The new Pro billet boots have injectors in them which we won't need for the IQ's.

i've been able to get right around 1000 miles out of the boots with the billet brace... the billet boot design that twisted has would be the ultimate way to go tho
