What are peoples thoughts on Ron Paul? Seems his stance on topics is seems pretty realistic. Not really in the democratic side that forgets how government programs screw things up, and not really on the republic side that can be unrealistic at times, though morally correct.

JMHO.

One of the few people in government that knows allowing private entities to print, control, and charge face value + interest makes slaves of us all, and is willing to not only say so (which few are), but do something about it, as well. Smart guy that has some back bone.

I agree with most all his views & opinions.
Yet, he comes across as if he were a nut job?
Certainly not electable......that's too bad.

I should have clarified my opinion. He does have fabulous ideas. Unfortunately non of them would ever make it through congress. The world just isn't that simple. I wish we could just sit inside our boarders and only worry about ourselves like he would have us do. It just wouldn't work. Great ideas maybe in another time.

Isolationist.

Doesn't matter how many 'good' ideas he has (he has a lot I DO like), he's a nut that doesn't get the big picture and would open this country to further attacks.

I would tell you, but the government is watching this thread.
Ron

Well in that case

where is my spot again on the grassy knoll when Hillary gets inaugurated for Pres?? I got the map from James, but which "X" am I  blue, red, or black?

:)

Again I say:
Go ask Alice
When she's ten feet tall.:)

Reminds me of Ross Pero who had a legit chance untill he backed out--Ron has good ideas, but anything is better than the choices we have had for years--but correct as far as where we need to go-- But Not a CHANCE in Heck of making the election.

H20SKE...

I wouldn't say he is a nut job by any means. He has GREAT ideas, but since he is a constitutionalist he will never get the support of one of the major parties in the U.S. He never had the support of his own party (R). Ross Perot didn't compare to this guy.

RP

He's the only candidate that actually is willing to use the constitution as a guide to government....the rest go WAY beyond what I would like their role to be....as usual, we see people would rather believe the mainstream liars, full of promises and rhetoric....Paul was really cut short on time in the "debates".....and most people are too lazy to dig in deep enough to see what's really happening.....another candidate that really makes sense to me..if you really listen to his message is Nader.....the rest of the candidates as well as the media coverage are all bought and paid for and merely present a facade for us to vote on....if you study them you will find a slick hypocracy....democrats for nafta???
