Thoughts On New Forum

Is it just me or do you find yourself having more and more additions to your 'ignore list'?

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the 'waste of time' threads as much as the next guy, but I find it harder and harder to stomach some of the garbage lately.

I couldn't agree more..... Seems there is so much more BS then say 3 yrs ago.

They also don't seem to monitor threads as much as previously. For example, political threads in the General section, or I got burned for helping a fellow sledder get a condo...

Come on peeps, this use to be a very informative place...

At the risk of sounding argumentative. I agree. I posted how I fell on the thread by mtnmax wtf thread. I do like a good argument though but the threats are getting real old.

I also enjoy a good argument that plays by the rules. But it can be taken too far. Maybe it will get better when the season winds down, but that will be a while.

Snowest has a different feel to it lately. Just hard to put an actual reason as to why other than to say it's just not the same

Seems like once in a while they have to clean house to get rid of all the 13 year olds using daddys' computer after school.

Is it just me, or is the lack of color in this place about enough to make a person sick? At least add a blue or grey background to tone down the white. Sheeeeesh- hard on my eyes.

well not sure....I used to surf but never posted, I post now....I know that they have gotten bigger and more people visit this site....lets not be afraid of change and a varity of people posting....just read what ya want...I always wear a flame retardant suit when on this site....haha

As is the case with any forum, it is what the users make it. There is always an ebb and flow to a forum. Constant change. That means that if you get used to it one way, look out, because it is bound to change. Alternatively, if you don't like something, do what you can, but just wait, it's going to change.

As for the threats or whatever else is bothering you, if you send a comment to me via pm or report a post, it will get taken care of. Me and the other mods have been sort of hands off, thinking that MOST of you could self-patrol, but we're more than willing to take care of the problem posters.

Thanks for using the forums! And, remember, a forum is what the users make it.

Just a suggestion, but how about we make Fouled Plug where it doesn't count on a persons post count? Several of the forums I belong to went to that kind of a system because of the BS threads (i.e. Does the new site max out at?)

supp.. if post counts are that important to you, why don't you just PM darrin & have him add about 2 billion to you #'s??? You'll be at the head of the class. I'm sure he'd do it if it would make you feel better.

what does it matter if it counts or not? serious question.... It's not like we are judged by our post count.... I know of a lot of guys on here that rarely post but know more than most about specific problems and are more than willing to help. Personally i don;t care if you dont make them count, what do you have against it?

Why make big D job any harder....do this do that....There are areas that I don't read because of several posters....reread his post SELF POLICE it other words read what you want and do not want and follow the rules.....pretty simple to me.
