Perfect fit IMO is Cowher. We need a defensive minded coach or the next 3 years will looks alot like the past 3.

Bowlen fires Shanahan after 14 seasons as head coach and VP. I agree his personnel moves were very questionable and, IMO, was wearing to many hats.
He should have been stripped of front office duties and left to coach the team.

No matter what coach they get, do they really think he'll be a better one the Mike?

Chargers sheep ought to be happy, they are gurauteed the AFC west for years to come. Oh who am I kidding, they have Norve Turner with his great wisdom.

One glowing stat I heard on the radio, the Broncos have only won one playoff game since Elway retired, hmmmmm, who was the real leader of this team ?

Could Shanny go to the Lions? If so, they'll still stay in last place only because of Lions' piss poor management. Most likely the same situation in Denver, not because of Shanny, it is management above him.

The Lions have had several good QB's and great coach's that all result in firing, but they still retain the last place position. When management and ownership is overtaken, the team will amount to something.

Hopefully Denver won't be the Lions in 5yrs.

not elway, Mr Davis was the sole reason denver won with Elway......im sure someone can find a highlight reel of Elways past post season as the biggest flop to ever play the game.....damn did he suck when they played san fran

Where did you hear the Broncs signed Schottenheimer? If so I hope they pick up Phillips to be d-coordinator if Shanny replaces him in Dallas. That being said, if doesn't mean a heck of a lot until we find out who will be GM.

I heard that from ESPN, but I can't find a story. Received a text from them. They cited NFL.com as their source.

I am not the hugest Marty fan, but he is a good coach. Because of the Broncos he has never made it far enough. He went 14-2 with the Chargers and got the ax. With that said, I would hope he is looking for some revenge for that.


I personally want Cowher, we'll see.

Davis was a big help but our 2 Super Bowl teams were so complete. We had a great running game, great o-line, great QB, great WR's. Solid defense, great coach. I personally feel our strongest team was the team that lost to the Jaguars the year before we won the Super Bowl.
