lost the sled down a chute.. that is the rescue.. heh.. ..****
she ain't to bad considering she feel a few hundred feet. Snow is all melted out in these photos but it was waste deep when I made the mistake of going in..

sure doesn't look like very heavy cable to be pulling a sled up that steep of a chute!
That cable could pull a tank. It pulled me, the sled and my buddy back up the chute as we guided it.
Why didn't you just nut up and ride it out? Now that....that woulda been a photo!

I wish, that would have made life alot easier, there were 3 separate vertical cliff bands that were impassable.
ya, i dropped into the bowl, and was going to powder turn out the other side fell off and the sled went down the fall line and funneled it to the chute, snow was good that day, and i was feeling stupid.
I wish I would have had a picture of it.. it hit a little booter launched into the air and vanished off the first cliff lol.....
wow looks like it held together really well for a ski doo......... glad no one got hurt

So how long ago was it? Did you have to leave it there and come back to get it?
just the other week, ya I had to leave it there and come back to it. I wanted to ride it out the bottom but the snow melted to fast, and there wasn't a clear way out. I also wasn't sure if it was in a ride able state until I climbed down to it the second time, and spent some time checking it over. It's sitting at the shop now waiting for a quote, even though my insurance already totaled it. The tunnel has a good size kink in, but I'm going to buy it back straighten it out, and hopefully do a tunnel swap in the summer.
