This blowing belts is getting old!

Looking for product review from anybody that is running OSP's jackshaft support and/or engine snubber.
Are you seeing increased belt life?
Are there any issues with metal fatigue when running both peices togeather?

I've put five hundred miles on my m1100 with both and was very impressed. Top quality product. It's not a fix all but a great step in the right direction.

We have spent the last two weeks testing - the last week with Team Thunderstruck. We have 6 1100Ts with us. Two were certified belt blowers. 4 sleds have 275hp, one has 300 and my sled has 320. Yesterday we were in bottomless the entire day. I blew 2 belts within the first 30 minutes on mine. The cause - snow getting on the clutches through a vent that sits on top of the clutch & a cracked belly pan. We blocked off these vents and made sure no snow could get into the clutch area. After that, the rest of the day was spent climbing and boondocking without any other belt issues. There were many 20-30 second full throttle climbs. One of the certified belt blowers that was with us spent the whole day railing on his sled - no issues. We believe we are very close to solving the belt issue for the majority of the sleds out there.

Here are some pictures from our trip.

That's great news Jim.
There is another spot I find suspect of snow entry as well. I haVE XXXMOD ROD cover over the intercooler, but there is a gap on each side of this that begs for snow to enter. I'm going to try to come up with a stylish somution to this, but was wondering if toy guys have addressed this, or are concerned about it.

It helps with keeping the engine and jackshaft in one spot. Just take a pry bar and pry on it and how much it will move. Like said it isnt a fix all but it does help keep things from moving around. Well worth the money

Im going to get the race plastics to fit my sled this summer and they have alot let areas for snow to enter in. Alittle bit of fab work to get them to fit around stuff but shouldnt be too bad. Havent seen anyone try it on the 1100 yet

the black and green turbo in the picture you can see the clutch vent. A frogskin for the 05-11 intake fits perfectly inside there when you remove the duct. Then you can reinstall the duct after and perfect. No more snow sprayin on your clutch from that point. When I get home from work wed I will post pics

I gained quite a bit of power by putting the OSP jackshaft support and engine brace on. Only about 50 miles in belt life maybe.... Not a belt life saver, but a noticeable performance gain.

Just put another 200 or so miles on the 1100 BC 275 in the snowys this weekend. No blown belts and still on the factory belt with 1000+ miles.(not trying to rub it in) I must have a magical belt!

Jim,

Great news thanks for the update.
Love to see the riding pics of all the 1100T's...

What is that hood scoop looking part on the nose of your sled?

Lucky me

Have 770 miles on my "13" turbo, have my belt adjusted tight enough to squeel when ideling, still looks brand new.I have a theroy, a lot of riders is what i call throttle blipers, constantly on and off the throttle, would be interesting to know if they have the most problems with belts? Jack your sled up, gas it , let off and gas it again and watch your belt go nuts in there, just my 2 cents..

Here's the scoop....

It is a prototype scoop that directs air and snow on top of the water to air. The wta was one of the things we were testing along with a bigger injector tune.

I have 1000 miles on the original belt. Must be the operator.
