I dont know much about the iQ was just wanting to know what it is worth and if it would be a good sled for a small kid.It only has 300 or so miles on it 144 track thanx Brian

That would be a good sled for.a kid who has ridden before not for a kid who has.no experience ridding what so ever just because.there heavy for a kid.... there's one.around here selling for 3000 but it has some extras

Besides the weight, that thing has more power than a 10 year needs to get a hold of right now. If the deal is right and money is available, you might pick it up to have it on hand when the kid gets bigger, but right now, a 440-550 would be a safer bet. They could learn skills that will transfer over later. If they get on the 600, and not crash it, they will expect the sled to just take them everywhere.

I have her on a 340 indy lite and she rides it awesome she is also not a speed demon she has been riding for 4-5 years i had her on a 120 before

I have a 2010 600 155 with eletric start that my 11 yr old ride's she started out on a 2001 550 136 fan cooled and handle it well so i got her a bigger one.. i do have to watch her as she can get carried away sometime's but all it well.. she does ride good

I don't know what the 340 has for hp, guessing about 40. I have riden the 340 indy lite and it is a great kids sled but that is a long, long ways from the 600 ho. That 600 has 110ish hp. I would get something in the middle for a couple years. Even if she isn't a speed demon, if you accidently pin the throttle on that 600 things happen really fast for a 10 year old to respond safely and not get hurt. If you pin the throttle on the 340 you have a lots of time before anything happens and when it happens it doesn't really do much. Pin the throttle on that 600 and the skis come off the ground...the 550 RMK are great for kids and amazing where they can go with a light rider.

I no where there is a 2001 550 fan rmk 136 x 1/1/2 paddle Gen II and a 2005 polaris 550 136 x 1/1/2 paddle edge With reverse they both have had new motor installed 2 yr ago and have been in the shed sence but the have been started once a month to keep lubed they used to be mine but sold them then the kid didnt have the money to ride so there for sale you can probably get a good deal..

I was thinking the same thing that the 600 was to much sled for a 10 year old but the sled is my aunts and it is barely used she has not rode it in a few years.I was just thinking of getting it from her if she was going to get rid of it and keep it a few year if need be.Are the 600 ho good motors i now the 800 are a little weak

The 600 HO 155 is a good sled it's fun to ride i would not hesitate to buy another one.

Now for the 800 nock on wood i have been pretty lucky with my 09 800 i just had PMS install the fix kit about a month ago and only have 70 mile's on it and all i can say is WOW on how it run's now i will be installing the SLP single and carl's clutch kit here before to long. I will be riding it for a couple more years before i look at another new sled..

i agree a 600 HO will be way to much for a 10-11 year old

I started mine all on a 120, moved to a 340, then a 440 cat....oldest is 14 and now rides an xlt...it still surprises the heck out of her occasionly with the power

gonna get her alot more miles next year, then after her 15th, we'll start talking about her taking momma's 600 HO....of course then momma wants my 8 so I'll hafta buy me another one

all my kids ride dirt bikes/4 wheelers so they know what they are doing...but that 600 is "instant on" for power and will surprise even you

600's are fun, a bit too much for a 10y old though. I bought one for mine last year, he's 12 now. Cold days it is hard for him to crank over and wants something smaller so selling his Dragon SB this fall and will buy him something smaller. Saw an old but taken care of 440 XCR from the 90's that he likes, but it will sell before then so praying we find another. Or will get him a 500, time will tell.
