The yamadoo is going yama-chromoly.

wasn't this suppose to be running 8 days ago???:second:
i wish. being a full time college student with the shop 20 miles from my house has really slowed my ability to work on it..

getting there thought!! getting it running isnt very hard, making sure the whole chassis is 100% done so i dont have to take anything back out after it gets bolted in is a new story!!

sooooo excited!!! This thread is better than Christmas!
thats aweseom.. glad i could provide some excitement around here.

update, but no pictures. lower a-arms are built, im waiting for some more rod end inserts for mine.

turbo system is done besides the downpipe, which is easy as pie.. getting a ton of sheeting tommorow and hoping to start paneling things.

goals for tommorow include, weld on a-arm tabs. finish painting the front of the sled. put motor in for the LAST time, install chaincase/drivers/track/skid install coolers in tunnel. and sheet the sides. cover the bottom of the sled.

if that all works out its going to be very well on its way to becoming an operational vehicle.

sorry for the diskike button thunder.. fumbly fingers.

and just butter?? more like those are the bread of the most amazing sammich of all times!!

Ski-dooin it, are you tig welding this chassis? This thread has got me thinking that I might have to brush up on the old welding skills next summer and try to build something.

all i have to say, is if try do design your own and dont want to copy a stock chassis.. start now!!!

things are rolling along, dealing with a few little details and making sure everything goes together properly is taking time as always.. you can only forcast so much but all is going together better then i had realisticly expected!

my motor is sitting in and will be bolted in for good in the AM, along with my skid/track/chaincase. waiting on a few rod end inserts to finish my a-arms.. turbo system is mostly finished, so i just need to get the motor in to check on all of that!! hoping to take it out for a naked test ride soon!!

got a bunch of junk covered on the bottom.. plodding along.

motor skid chaincase and track are in for good now.. steering post is finished.. triple mounts on a single straight shaft = NO flex... feels awesome.

waiting on a few odds and ends, gonna be a BIG push this weekend to get a bunch done on it and get it out to play on!! a lot of the work now is just to get coolant/electrical all put in place.

word on the street is that there is 2.5 + snow on daisy. Let me know when you guys are ready and i'll go rock hunting with ya!

thanks for the invite, but as soon as shes operable im heading back to whitefish to hang out with my family for break.. so thats my big push right now!

wow.. long weekend in the shop!!

gotta finish up the coolant system tommorow so i can top that off and actually test ride it. started it up real quick just to double check and see if she worked, started right up!!

doesnt have any sidepaneling or a hood.. but gonna fashing something up to keep snow off the cluthes and take it for a test ride. lots of snow in the forcast and real panels arent figured out/done yet, so for now, just something to allow me to test/tune the motor and turbo.

SWEEEET! Im droping my sled off tomarrow...? lol so maybe i can get a lil peak.

drop it off, but mine is up north for the week with me!

got coolant in it tonight, starts and runs very well revs a lot quicker then it did last year!
