:help: So....I have a 09 RMK 800 155 blown motor picked up for my wife. I also have a 12 800 assault motor. Just wondering what kind of issues I'm gonna have with this swap?

Thanks for any input, Nooby

Off the top of my head these are what I thought of. I've never done a swap but these differences / similarities come to mind.

In theory it should be an easy swap / doable; assuming you have the complete wiring harness off of the '12. Also the Cylinder and cylinder porting is different so fitting / running the '09 pipe maybe troublesome. And fitting the '12 exhaust maybe a challenge, as the Y pipe bolt pattern and angle is different. Essentially the fuel tank and pump are the same as the '12 so that portion should plug and play. The physical dimensions and foot print are the same so fitment / alignment should be easy. The '12 harness does not use the same switches as the '09 so you will need to accommodate that in some fashion (install the '12 switches into the '09 plastics or lots of splicing between the two harnesses, ending up with a custom bastardized harness).

Going to be digging into it here in a few weeks. I have full manuals for both sleds. Couple of guys I know that have a good bit of knowledge and do these kind of things.
Just trying to get a far ahead of the game as possible. Thanks for your advice Loud.
