Called up my local race fuel guy, and was informed a drum of 114 goes for $467 this year. Up $167 from last season and pump prices are about the same or lower now. Guess they forgot to drop the price on the high octane

That's $9.90 a gallon after tax and drum deposit

(yes I know canadians have it MUCH worse)

you runnin your apex so hot you have to run 114? i'm gettin renegade 110 down here for 6.89/gallon out of the pump

I may be wrong but, I was told that race fuel is produced in batches. The price per gallon (of race) is dependent on the price per gallon of gasoline at the time the fuel was made. If that makes sense. Last year the price per gallon of race was really close to the price of premium. Gasoline was cheaper when they prepared the race fuel and it stayed lower in relation to the jump in premium gas.

Sunoco 112 is about 7.30 where I'm at.

No, but 114 has always been as cheap or cheaper than 110 around here. Any drum prices of 110 or 114 where you're at?

if you have your a barrel already bring it down to coleman oil out by potlatch and you can fill it up for 6.89/gallon, they dont give breaks selling them by the barrel because they have a huge @$$ tank filled for the pump. renegades a great fuel too if you havent heared of it... motor octane of 109

use E85
E85 has an octane rating of 100 - 105
I have been useing it in my 4-wheeler for a year with no problems, all I did was go 20% bigger on my main jet.
A lot of people said it would destroy my carb, but I have not had any problems & it is cheap:D

you kidding right? you run E85 in a fuel injected turbo sled and you can go ahead bend over and brace yourself because the bill for a new motor is going to hurt that bad

best price I have found was 5.75 a gal for track tech 111 but everyone else in the same area is anywhere from 7.00 to 10.50 a gallon. Maybe it is not fresh fuel and down to 100 octane I dont know.

was chatting with my dad this summer , he's 86 and we were talking about the price of fuel , he said that he could remmember paying a dollar to fill a 5 gallon jery can .
today or at that time this summer it was 1.55 a liter , works out to just over 30.00 dollars for that same 5 gallon jerry can.
do remmember when i used to fly my light plane all over and was paying 32 cents a gallon for av gas .hahahahaha

I am witrh Turboal!!

I remember my dad getting PO'd because Ethyl (102) was .19 a gallon and it would be .17cents across town, so he would drive across town for it---and that was full serve too:eek:.

H20SKE...

i can get sunoco 112 at 450 a barrel if anyone is interested at that. or you can buy my left over 110 for $365 from last year never been opened. pm me

I pay $7.28/gal of regular 87 octane, and that is locked in for the rest of the winter. I'd gladly pay $5 for it, $3 would be heaven.
