The Park City side of Guardsman

For those of you that are familiar with this area I have a question. I took a drive up there yesterday to look around. I have never ridden this area but would like to but dont want to get in trouble. I can see where people park at the gate and then ride up the main road (that is almost bare) but just a little south east of the parking lot there is what looks like a ski run going up the mtn with snowmobile tracks all over it. Is this private property?

is that the pole line you are looking at? most of the private property is lower down in the aspen and cabin area. Stay above lake brimhall and silver lake islet and you should be just fine.

Its pretty wide for a power line trail but that must be it. Thanks for the info. Any one know whats up with the sleds at the bottom chained up to trees? Are they locals?

Locals leave their sleds locked up there to either ski or access cabins in the winter, though there are less people doing that know since they maintain the road up to Bonanza Flats and most of those people now have access to keys for the gate.

I'm guessing the trail you're looking at is one of the Deer Valley resort trails, it makes it easy to access Guardsmans, but I would not recommend using it. The trail is private property, and it's best not to upset anyone and affect an access point for Guardsman's (I sound like a bit of dick in this, which is not by any means my intention).
