the offical snowbike pic thread post up

Picture of 09 KX450 with 2012 Mountain Horse kit just installed ! Now it's time for some more snow !

Rode a nicely modded KX450 today and it was so smooth. Awesome bike. What seat is that you got on there? Looks softer than the stock seat (thank god).

It rips! Spent a few hours Saturday, and again on Sunday dialing in the bike.
One the test hill (small grade with about 10" snow to break thru, 10,000 ft elevation) the turbo bike would go thru all 5 gears then hit rev limiter in 5th. It spins the track so hard I never got it to hook up before I had to let off to slow down. Same hill we ran a 2010 YZ450 that could only pull 3rd, sometimes 4th. Now if it will snow here I can get some long rides on it and some real hills and deep powder to see how it holds up. Can't wipe the grin off my face....

That sounds insane! Can’t wait to see it in action. Sounds like you need higher gears. Try flipping the 2 chain case gears. That will makes it 30% taller geared.
May be you should come to Sandpoint ID to ride. We got lots of snow.

It's a SDG step seat , it's not any softer than stock but I thought I would try it for snowbiking . I bought the bike used and it had an Acerbis seat and I didn't like it, to slippery and VERY hard. Going riding Saturday we will see how first ride goes !:face-icon-small-dis

Turbo CRF 450 video

Check out the link below to KMS Performance on Facebook.
Look for the short video of the Turbo CRF 450.
Video was taken on Grand Mesa, CO at 10,200 ASL last Wednesday.
Had about 18-24" powder and climbing a small hill.
Note the 2010 YZ450 I pass going up the hill.
Thats as high as the YZ450 could climb before turnout/stuck.
There are also some pics of the turbo 450 and other KMS turbo builds.
