OK...why can't any of the major sled producers understand what we all want in a "new, game changing" mountain sled????:face-icon-small-sad
It is so so easy....just look at what we all build.

1) weight...wet ready to ride...MAX 450 lbs

2) HP....200+/-

3) track nice 162 with 174 as a option

Come on guys and whats with the 800 limit?? how bout a nice 1400 3 cyl 2 stroke??

Even if it costs 16,000.00 its a bargain as to what we all end up spending, heck look at sportbikes..insane power and handleing....and 10K !!:face-icon-small-coo

Argh..........just drives me nuts !! Game changer my A$$

fiddle

look at how much we have to fix our big power machines though. the reliability issues would kill them. besides the epa would be all over that, with all the sound deadeners and silencers and ehaust collectors theres no way it would weigh in where we want

Can you say "liability" and "supply and demand"?

As far as the sport bike reference that's an easy one to understand. How many sport bikes are sold around the world in a year vs. sleds? Pretty easy to lower the price to build something when you make and sell more of them.

meh, I like my 151 track, and I really don't need much more power then I already got, I'm better off spending more time dissecting my riding so I can improve. Lighter is always better though, and I'm happy with the sub 8k price range that my sled was. I do like the idea of the new e-tec, and I wish I didn't have to do top ends every 2k or so. At this point I'd be happy with better reliability out of the 800s vs some mega horse power super sled that going to give me more problems then the all the brands seem to have with the 800s already.

I only know of 3-4 guys that can ride the current 800's to their potential...and I'm not one of them :face-icon-small-sad

I hear what your saying but outside of the super technical terrain when the snow is really good even a well running 8 is lackluster. This year however here, a 550 is plenty.:face-icon-small-sad

there arent gay trail riders out east only...

we got schit loads (literally thousands) of trail riders in MN and WI area. they never do anything besides putt putt down a flattened trail. and "modding" to these people means putting on some hand guards, a monster sticker, and if there really hard core they might put on some studs. but that is where most the market share is. sadly...

hmmm

specialty sleds???????

Crazy Mtn. Extreme?

off beat, but hey, you get exactly what you want....
