Personally, I don't like the grey strip onto the black. Actually I don't like the flat black hood. I like the gloss of the white. I'm adding the voodoo blue panels. But here is a cleaner version of what you were doing.

I took the hood off of my 2011 and put it on the 2013. All stock.
Is it the Good ,the Bad, or the Ugly?

I think that looks pretty awesome as is. Only thing I would consider is pulling the decals off the lower part of the side panels, and maybe off the tunnel. Then ride it!

I like the look of the black hood with the white LE panles. Not to hijack the thread, but if someone is looking for a black hood, I have one off a 2010 Rush that I would trade for white. PM me if interested

I had my dealer pull white panels off one sled and put them on the black sled too. I LOVE IT!!!
My white panels are on order.

Glad to see that I'm not the only cool person thinking outside the box. LOL
