Going to look at a crf230 in the morning. Supposedly needs a top end... guy has motor apart... but for $700 hopefully a little less might b bringing it home... then build a crf240 11.1 comp and cam. ... hmmmm .... or std bore with an 11.1..... is it worth it?

update? most 230's are worth 1500 to 2200 so don't get too much in it. that cam would bring that thing to life

Fishing in Canada was good last week. This hot weather at home sux.

slay some nice walleye? snagged some carp sunday in shallows on Missouri north of Decatur. kept the kids entertained while we polished off the cooler

Just going stock bore with 11:1 wiesco piston... cylinder honed out of it...

Gotta split case and clean bottom end out. Gotta order a jam nut socket or have one made... fyi gotta remove oil pump rotor on end of crank to put a clutch in these damn things....

Still hoping to maybe have it together by monday. Parts come tomorrow and piston grts fitted thursday

Well... lady ordered wrong piston... the wieseco is out of stock... so went with a prox so just be a stock motor this time around....

But got case split and cleaning stuff up

moto what is the story on that motor? those motors are pretty bombproof. never seen one do that

living in a rainforest. 3 inches again in 2 days. last thing I want to do is test the rear wheel assist out on the gleaner. the thought of a 12 row corn head buried is worst than a sprayer

Supposidly kid dumped it. After he picked it up wouldnt start... thinking it went WOT on its side and over reved.... half the skirt fell into the case. Cylinder was savable.

The 230 is back together and alive. Seems to run alright. The gf likes it cuz she can go slow and putt around... needs back brakes and a tire this week.and its DONE
