The hate on 165 2.75 Series 8

What's the stink on this track? I see some people are salty on it wanting to get rid of it using the term "fold over". I thought it was the track to have on a 165 Boost due less rotating weight etc.

It's an amazing track. Light and fast with good traction.

My only complaint thus far would be that I have a few more split lugs after 500mi than I've had on other tracks, so the 2.75" series 8's flexibility isn't creating as much sturdiness as I'd hoped with more so-called flexibility.

I'll say that this track gets up and goes in all conditions better than any I've used before.

What's wrong with 40" swampers when you're muddin?

Maybe there's a better 165" track, but I'm not aware of it.

The track is awesome. Jumps on snow and goes. Best track polaris has made to date. There are grippier tracks but then you get into trenching a little. Its like wanting a tire that good on ice but then it doesn't last. Have to decide what you want it for. Can't have it both ways.Any thing all around usually half asses everything. Anything that jumps right up on the snow has to fold some. If they don't they tend to trench a little. Alpha track is awesome but they dig down some where the 2.8 jumps up and goes.

I'm new to sledding, picked up a 165 Khaos Slash yesterday, it is a very confidence inspiring machine, thought for sure I would have been stuck in certain situations but this track gets around real good! My buddy on his 155 2.75 gets around really good as well. Not sure how much my experience is worth as a beginner, but as someone who is only able to copy what they've seen in riding clinic videos and friends to get around I'm super happy with the performance and what it is allowing me to do as someone with only maybe two days worth of riding on sleds. Tree riding, and some small to medium climbs with some side hilling is what I've gotten into so far.

I was really just teeing up someone for some good responses. I’ve only got 1 ride on it so not sure what its all about yet. Vibrated on groomed and packed trail. I Didn’t really notice it running around in deeper snow.

I agree with the comments above.

The 165 2.75 is the best Polaris track I have ever used for the powder we have in our area.

No complaints whatsoever!!

Mine works good also with after market drivers, does vibrate a bit. Last trip my son said it sounded noisy when I got home I found the rear idlers are out of round probably from sitting all summer with the track super tight, the previous owner had on it so would not ratchet on him.

I think it's an awesome track - it has a great balance of bite and float. The 2.6" is/was a good powder track, but spun a lot....I actually didn't realize how much until riding a 2.6" sled the other week after spending the rest of my time this season on a 2.75" sled. Any of the stiffer 3" options typically have great bite, but trench more in the fluff. This one is in the sweet spot. Have not noticed any out-of-ordinary vibration.

Vibration is from the new drivers. Not an issue. Big win. Polaris must have gotten sick of me repeatedly and incessantly bitching about the old drivers belonging in a trash can.

I have been very happy with the performance of this track. It’s a very good all-around track that performs great in many different conditions. Track preferences though are usually more affected by locality, snow density, altitude, etc. but this one seems to check the most boxes.

The only concern is we have traded some small durability for the increase in performance. Which can be helped significantly if you don’t abuse the track or run 60-90mph down groomed out trails like an idiot. These are not go fast trail sleds.

Wow. Different snow. Our sugar snow it's awesome. No one do it all. I know there are tracks with better traction but they trench a little.

We ride in BC, Revy and Valemount. The 2.75 just doesnt work in deep snow. If the snow is set up a bit, its great. You can make good track speed but your ground speed is horrible. With the Doo track, your track speed stays the same but ground speed is increased by 10mph easy.

I always thought that track was one of the bigger differences on the 17 doo but had them trench and auger in the trees. Some is probably chassis drag and approach angle differences. Would love to try one on a poo but I'm going to leave it on my kaos boost. I ordered a shredder turbo 154
