I got it all in the highrisk stuff, frame of mind being I'm gaining TONS of shares, my share count is going crazy (buying about $2500 worth per month) even though my dollar amount is going down, kinda.. I'm contributing $2500 and loosing $1500 so my dollar is going up overall.
Ok, I'm confused.
Excluding the $2500/MO. that you are contributing.... you realize that your share count is not changing as the market tanks right?
With the market tanking, your $2500/mo. contribution is buying more shares of the same companies you purchased last month ... but to say your share count is 'going crazy' you must be buying stocks that have been absolutely hammered in the past 6 weeks.
If this is the case and I'm not saying you're wrong to do this (it's called dollar cost averageing down) but you have bigger cajones than me.
