The Blues 24/25

Let's see some of your pictures from last weekend. Especially the group that was leading the extreme ride that said their ride was one memories are made from.

Here are a few from me. I came in with the late riders and SnoPark was pretty full with 3 rows.

Then up the hill and got people stuck uphill...

They got stuck going downhill. ...

They got to the warming shelter to eat a hamburger by snowmobile..

20250207_124855.jpg

They got there by SxS's....

20250207_124858.jpg

They even got there by snowbikes....

Saw the advanced group celebrating that they made it clear out to Teepee...

They all made it back to town to enjoy the evening festivities and party and help support a great cause.

The next day we did it all over again with groups traveling to Pomeroy, Dayton, and Tollgate and do it all over again.

Each area has nice warning shelters to get out of the winter weather to enjoy lunch.

20250208_114525.jpg

We made it back to town and partied another evening and honoring those who were award winners from around the state. Also interviewed the oldest snowmobiler who was 87 and very independent and was in my group that day. Fred had been around a long time and snowmobiled in a lot of places.

Then come Sunday a few ambitious souls still wanted to ride so off to another area in a blizzard and taking a break in another warming shelter.

20250209_141058.jpg

After getting them back to the SnoPark I got a chance to clean out my 18 inches of new snow and take a break once in awhile to check in on the Super Bowl and then go home after 3 days of riding.

Anyway a great weekend of riding with all kinds of people from across the state using all forms of motorized transportation. It was a fun making new friends and can't wait to do it again.

Thank you to all that helped making it an awesome weekend!

This Saturday March 1 is the annual Bucket Run starting at 9-11 am from Touchet Corral to Godman for lunch and prizes.

Visit me at stop #4 to see who my celebrity assistant is this year. Hope to see the Cat Boys out in full force and ready to make memories for years.

Let's see the stories from last weekend.

I'll start by getting to my designated stop point and as you can see nobody else there. Where is my assistant? After 15 minutes I called him to see where he was at as we stopped at the checkpoint ahead of us for 20 minutes so how hard can it be to drive 3 more miles down a groomed road?

Well he went off road down over the mountain side to where a tree was above the snow blocking his side hill route. He turned uphill in concrete snow and somehow dug to the branches on the ground so no traction to go forward or backwards. Some words later and we pulled it backwards and out to get to our checkpoint.

We get to our checkpoint about when the first riders arrive. Then we had a big lull in activity. We found out the SxS hauling the food in threw a bogey wheel with the big load and was stopped. Decided to go see if food needed hauled in as that is a big component for the day.

By the time I got to the broken Chuckwagon it was just coming off the jack and trying out the repair. Everyone behind him had stopped and assisted in fixing it because they didn't want to starve on the mountain and stayed with the food. Thanks to all that attended and helped for the day.

Once the food moved on so did all the people. The rest of the day was uneventful and everyone had a great time. We even had 2 riders ride across the mountain from Tollgate making a 96 mile round trip.

Thanks for making the day a success everyone.

Ride Report (sort of) 3/6/25 Cloverland

Drove the Jeep to Cloverland snow park, the road is plowed to the forest boundary (top of the big hill) and then not plowed into the park, deep snow and rutted... getting to the park, not plowed and even the Jeep with the big tires sunk though the snow. From what I could see, the trail is groomed and looked untouched.

IF I was snowmobiling, I would turn around just shy of the big hill (a bitch with a trailer) and unload, then you can run the edges and get to the snow covered road...

Snow is firm and probably best to ride the older stuff. Racing at Sumpter had some good times....

Some wild times....

Some departure times....

But I missed the camera person....

Got it back together but the guys got beat by a girl...

It was a great winter. The video snippet of the races that day. About the 9 minute mark you can see the great launch off the line of the MXZ. 😛

Hope to get some more time in on the snow before summer. How about it CB?

Okay Cat Boys. It was an epic powder ride today. Let's hear your stories!

When I got home the only thing dry was my socks.

It's amazing what the snowbike with the 3.25 track would go through today. Snow to the front fender or over and over my knee caps when sitting on the bike. Incredible amount of snow we played in.20250316_145002.jpg
