The Blues 24/25

the change I would like to see from CB8... is to be able to get out of the parking lot on his Cat without getting stuck...
I just hope that plum quits making excuses and makes it to the mountains. He can ride the hell out of the skidoo from the keyboard, but he is still a great rider that I have learned a lot from over the years when he can get past that is is too cold or too hot or I forgot my goggles, or Janet didn’t get my skirt washed or……

Plum who got me hooked on kitty cats?

Hope it is a great winter. I got my first ride n October 31. I hope C.B.8.58 doesn't need parts this winter.

I remember a few years ago I let 3 Cat riders go to the mountains all by themselves. They are truly worse than herding cats. Get a call while I'm in Montana and they need help. Had to mobilize search and rescue of non-Cat riders of snowmobilers and snow bikers to get them out of a canyon. They went down the wrong drainage.

Then there has been the times I have benefited from the help of Plumnuts and CB.8 and their better halves in 2022 after my serious bout with covid that about took me out. CB.8 took time out with Drew to get me to our warming shelter for a hamburger. CB loaded my oxygen bottle on the back of my snowmobile and patiently helped me with my 1.5 mile stops to catch my breath. I couldn't start my snowmobile nor load it but they took care of me.

They got me set up in the shelter with my oxygen and hamburger. I told them to go burn the paint off the exhaust of my new snowmobile and CB comes back injured.

The next trip i rode at Tollgate with the kids ride and I paired up with a girl on a 200 and her 18 mph was just the right speed for me.

The next trip was at Pomeroy with CB.8 and Plumnuts families. I attempted jumping a drift and that went wrong and threw me off. It's amazing how long it takes to get strength and balance back. Ski got jammed upside down and backwards so they had to remove it to fix and they all told me to stay out of the way.

What great friends to have.

As I told my therapists that didn't really want me up there in elevation.... it was one small step physically and one giant leap mentally.

Thanks guys for taking the time to help me out back then. It was one heck of a 5 1/2 month ride in my life trying to get back to normal. It was really weird living a normal carefree life and then relying on others to take care of you when you physically weren't able to do things you would never think twice about.

It was nice not even having to worry about driving up there or back home. Thanks guys and gals. Snowmobilers are great people.

Would do it again in a heartbeat! It is not my style to ever abandon those who have shown me the ropes.

But we might have to talk about sled selection. If I have to keep riding your sleds out of bad holes we might need to make a switch to a kitty or a poo. I am not even legal to ride skidoos in Idaho because it is an abortion waiting to happen.

CB.8.58 and skidoos don’t mix.

and then there was the Ultra Pig... and my conversation, "Rob you are to good of a rider..." and then a Cat followed Rob home... and the Ultra Pig went away...

Plum hint hint. Mike you are too good a rider to die trying to make a skidoo sidehill. Come to the darkside.

Well I spent most of the day in the shop wrenching. My wife said it looked like a cat dealership.

Tomorrow we ride. Brian is in for sure on his new to him 22 hardcore twin rail. Not sure if Billy is in yet or not. I plan to ride the stroker tomorrow. There is a high chance the will be some wrenching done.

You remember what happened the last time the all Cat crew went out on the mountain?

Don't forget to make sure the knots are good on your starting ropes. The SHOT start sure reduces the amount of times the rope has to be pulled in a day.

did you get out or not? I did roll the snowmobile trailer and sleds out of summer storage yesterday...

I love the banter! Lay it on thick but expect it right back! I expect no less from you Blues Rockers! Here's to a great snow year. Flying W, you and your buds pulled off the greatest comeback I can recall. Here's to burning off some more paint! Keep it up guys & gals, that's what friends and snowmobiling are about. Hope to see you on the hill.

Catboy made it on the hill. Spent more time playing with his screen than Brian did trying to text. Easy couple feet of settled snow on top with plenty of ruts from the 4x4 folks before Dec. 1.
